Rules of Play

CHARACTER PROFILE
Please include the following information in your character profile (bio lines under portrait):

Bio Line 1:  Kin/Type/Level
Bio Line 2:  AD:##/AR:##/CN:##/WZ:## (These are for Personal Adds, Armor points, current Constitution, and current Wizardry. only list WIZ if a Wizard or Rogue)

POSTING FORMAT
Post PC SPEECH in any color you wish (except orange or red) but once you pick a color please stick to that color throughout the game. Post OUT-OF-CHARACTER comments in orange, (preceded by "OOC"). Post COMBAT DICE RESULTS in red color.

Example Post

As his wounded comrades fall back, Barak charges into the line of goblins swinging his broad axe.

"Die you miserable scum!" he yells as he crashes into their midst.

Attack goblins with broad axe (4D). Personal adds +12
11:00, Today: Barak rolled 27 on 4D6+12.

OOC: Hopefully Barak's armor holds out.

DIE ROLLING
All die rolling including character creation, combat, and saving rolls should be done using the Rpol Dice Roller. There may be situations where I ask you to roll dice in secret. To do so, simply check the Secret Roll box at the bottom of the window. Rolls not made in secret when asked to do so will be re-rolled by me.

COMBAT

Combat Sequence
1. Players declare character movement or actions.
2. Missile attack savings rolls are made and damage is assessed.
3. Spells are cast, applicable saving rolls are made, effects are assessed.
4. Movements can be made.
5. Melee combat occurs; attack rolls are made. The losing side takes damage equal to the difference in attack rolls. Spite damage is applied to both sides.

Combat Movement
Players should announce how their characters will move and position themselves during each melee round. This should be done before any attack rolls are made or spells cast.

SAVING ROLLS

Saving rolls are the heart of T&T and are used to determine is a character is able to succeed in some task, perform a combat stunt, dodge incoming death, etc. If a Saving Roll is needed, I will give the Attribute to be rolled against and the Level of the Saving Roll. Roll 2D6 in the Dice Roller, doubles add and roll over (DARO). Add your dice roll to the Attribute being tested. If the total is greater than the target number (determine by the Level of the SR), the SR is successful.

If you manage roll a 3 on your Saving Roll, you have fumbled. A 3 is an automatic failure regardless of the characters attribute score.

HEALING

All beings recover hit points through rest. For each full day of complete rest, a character or monster will recover 1D3 point of CON.

CONDUCT

1) The point of this game is entertainment. Have fun and play fairly! If you're not having fun or have a suggestion to improve the game mechanics PM me and we'll work something out.

2) There is absolutely NO disrespectful behavior, either IC or OOC or PM.  There will be one warning given for irresponsible behavior and then, if it happens again, you will be immediately removed from the game without warning. No exceptions!

3) Please try to post at least once every other day (48hrs). Use the AFK thread to inform us if you are going to be away for a period of time of more than 48hrs.

4) If your character dies and fails to be resurrected you may feel free to create another character.

5) This game is rated 'Mature'. Please follow all RPOL rules and regulations concerning this rating. By RTJ and playing you are assumed to have read and understood and agreed to RPOL's rules concerning 'Mature' games.

6) I will be using the Tunnels and Trolls 5th edition rules for this game with some House Rules. You can find a free PDF of an abbreviated version of the rules at DriveThruRPG (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/p...anufacturers_id=2238).

7) Accuracy must be maintained and is the Players responsibility! It is essential that you, as a player, keep your character sheets updated at all times. These record-keeping efforts are key to allowing the GM to develop the adventure. This applies to current attribute points, ammo usage, equipment usage, etc.

8) You may only control your own character, and you may not write about how other characters act, react, feel or think. The GM reserves the right to do this, however, when called for, in order to keep the game/story going.

Everyone is responsible for keeping the game moving.  That means both me AND you.
