Instructions for creating characters.

1. Roll 4D6 dropping the lowest die seven times. For human characters any triples rolled add and roll over (TARO).

2. Assign your attributes to Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Luck, Charisma, and Wizardry (see the House Rules thread for information on Wizardry).

3. Select your character's kindred (Human, Dwarf, Elf, Hobbit, Leprechaun, Fairy) and adjust your attribute scores as needed. See the House Rules thread for the modified attribute modifiers.

5. Calculate your Personal Adds using ST, DEX, and LK. For each point about 12 for each of these three attributes add 1. For each point below 9, subtract one point.

6. Calculate your Missile Adds the same way, but double the effect of DEX (positive or negative).

7. Select you character's type (Warrior, Wizard, Rogue).

8. Roll 3D6 for gold. Humans multiply the total by 15, non-humans by 10. Purchase weapons, armor and equipment. Be sure sure to see the simplified weapons and armor table in the House Rules thread.

9. Wizards start knowing all 1st level spells. Rogues start with one random 1st level spell (GM will determine).

10. Each character starts knowing Common. Non-human characters know their kindred language. Characters know one additional language for each IQ point about 12.
