Cube of Dourzon
Cube of Dourzon (anti-magic cube)
This 1½” cube appears to be of matte dull adamantine, or somesuch similar black precious metal. It fits in the fist, emanating a slight warmth. Once activated by the command word (TENGAK), the cube negated the effect of the magic weave in a 15’ X 15’ cube centered on the holder. Speaking the reverse of the command work (KAGNET) immediately ceases negation of the magic weave.
The anti-magic negates all natural, enchanted, and positional magic within the specified area up to 25 charges, 25 levels of magic spell employment, or similar amount based upon DM discretion per day. Once the determined level of magical energy has been absorbed, the item will not function for 24 hours.
The Cube of Dourzon has no effect on clerical or deity-based magic, nor blessings or invocations of pantheon gods.
Dourzon was a half-elven wizard from Aglarond, who spent his time traveling in disguise amongst the Thayvians. His surreptitious research yielded much knowledge about the magical weave, and the establishment of mythals and magically dweomered areas. While never widely published, he is known by wizards and sages who specifically study area effect magic, or magical defenses of buildings.
