Re: OOC

They are indeed permanent! At least as far as my read on it goes, the power doesn't have any mention of a duration or time limit. The only thing similar to that is the note that I can use the same gift to destroy open sources of water.

On the topic of resources and gifts, it might be worth considering what the general construction material of the city is. If it's largely all marble then I can pretty well make whatever is needed for nothig more then the cost of temporarily comitting some effort.

Re: OOC

It's a mix of marble, metal, and magically-strengthened glass, by and large.

So roughly a third of it is stuff I can mess with. Good to know!

Re: OOC

I thought by the gift alone you could only have one such spring with the sustanance effect (but I can see making it 'permanent' with dominion, so having one doesn't count against you?) It's been a while since I  looked at it directly, so I could be wrong :D

Also, great to hear Laila's coming back~!

I'll get a proper post up tomorrow, with some rest, continuing the present scene. Wanted to give Sani a chance to pop in, but yeah :D

Re: OOC

Well, specifically:

Summon a water source, causing a new spring to gush forth. Repeated
use of this ability can provide sufficient water supplies for almost
any number of people, or erode and destroy non-magical structures
within an hour. At the Godbound's discretion, this summoned water
is magically invigorating, supplying all food needs for those who drink
it. These springs last until physically destroyed or dispelled by the
Godbound. Optionally, the Godbound may instead instantly destroy
all open water and kill all natural springs within two hundred feet
per character level, transforming ordinary land into sandy wastes.

That seems to pretty clearly not have any limitations. Not that I mind having some put in place on it. Desert is a rather strong word after all.

Re: OOC

Ah, I was clearly thinking of something else, nevermind~! I forgot that the spring is potentially everlasting :D  There's lots of things with odd limiting factors. Kevin's work is nothing if not sometimes inconsistent with itself~! (I say this from a place of love, but yeah...)

X_x oof, life got busy  at the start of the month. Sorry I dropped out of reality. Posting tomorrow after I get some sleep in. I need to make full rounds as it is. Sorry. I was waiting for Sani, and I was supposed to just move on but... derp.  When I wake, post incoming from me.

Re: OOC

I'm about 98% sure that if we don't just move on to the next scene, the game is dead.  It went from a good clip on the 21st to every three days or so, to nearly two weeks from the 1st to the 13th.  It's five days idle now.  I don't have anything to add to the current scene.  Do you three?

Re: OOC

Hi everyone.

Given the direction things have gone, I thought I would just throw it out there that I've been in a position to rejoin this game since a little before the end of last month. The GM and I had agreed to wait for things to move along a bit, both for narrative reasons and to avoid stealing the spotlight from Rakhur, but if the game could use another voice to give things a bit more energy then I'm sure we can push Laila's return up the agenda.

Re: OOC

@Laila Glad to have you still with us but personally I think its better to just fold Rakhur into the party and get moving on to some more pertinent matters.

Re: OOC

Yeah, my hands feel a bit tied post-wise. I guess we should just agree to declare this scene resolved and move to either Rakhan's Presentation, or further~!

I know Rashana will be relieved to have Laila back. Maybe she tries opening the gate they came from  to check, or were there plans for Laila to have found another route? :D

Re: OOC

There were plans only in the vaguest of senses. I'm actually typing up a PM right now to get that conversation going again.

I'm fairly certain she won't be coming back in through the front door though.

Re: OOC

Sorry about all the delays on my end, life got busy.

As for the rest, I'm not really sure how to move along further. I can start incorporating cults, but I don't know whether Rashana or Sani (who has been in contact and should be able to continue) are actually doing cults yet. I also don't know which of the gates you're planning to open next - it doesn't really seem terribly interesting to spend the rest of the game in the Nexus, so you kind of have to pick one. Maybe people could mention their top couple picks OOC and we can see if there are any that stand out as having multiple people interested in them?

Re: OOC

Sounds good to me. I'll have to look back over the list to see which ones strike me :D  Where is the list at, again, I forgot? XD

Rashana hasn't been planning to establish a proper cult, but one might spring up around her, but I did want to lean into Free Divinity for her, at least for now.  She can always establish one later, but can't get rid of one very easily.

Re: OOC

La has been suggesting~  ;p
It'd be something benign and peaceful-sounding, if she were to get roped into the decision somehow.  She's trying to represent the most imperiled citizens.

Re: OOC

Lesseee... Locations of interest, based on names alone from the list...

The Kissing Kingdom just sounds potentially fun.
The Land of Silver Rivers sounds cool.
The City of Many Daughters had been on my list but maybe not where we want to go right now.
The Steel Forest would be a good place for materials, probably :D
IMO, Things are Real Enough that i'm not sure about the Too-Real Place :D
The Glacier of Ebon Flame sounds... kind of awesome, not gonna lie. Will need warm gear probably.
The House of Forbidden Study is interesting.
The City of Angles seems interesting to a crafter?
The Walled Garden is a place that could be fun.
The Land Where Names of Power is interesting-sounding but maybe dangerous.
Scholar's Sanctum sounds distinctly different from a lot of the other locations, so could be really interesting.
The Crystal Palace sounds fun.
The Nest of Fallen Stars is... really interesting-sounding

Think that's my 'sounds remotely interesting' list, with I think the most curiosity being the following: The Kissing Kingdom, The Nest of Fallen Stars, The Walled Garden, or The City of Angles. City of Many Daughters, maybe we should hear more about it from Rakhur :D
