The minutemen robot spits and sputters and goes down

  My prototype! 

Sentinel and Najewa go through the portal to join Wraith,  Ginormica,  and Gadget.

Runt and 5 thugs have already entered the library, tearing up the place

Ginormica couldn't enter the library at this size, she'd do more damage than the thugs. She also wasn't the greatest fighter at small size but decided it was time to get small again and then head to the library to hopefully taunt and slow down the gorilla and thugs until the others could take them out.

Sentinel homes in on the cretins laying waste to the library.  Spying Runt the mystic mentally assaults the brute while ordering, "Stop this vandalism, now!"

Torch is lying on the floor, unconscious.

The thugs pause.  Runt is ready to fight.

A man looking through some books pauses.    ive found it after years of searching   he says with an evil laugh.

He tears some pages out of the book.    come Runt!  We have research to do.

He and Runt (and Torch)  teleportat away,  leaving the thugs behind.

Najewa rushes to the spot the wizard disappeared from. She inhales sharply, catching and cataloguing both the Wizard's scent and Runt's scent. Torch's as well. She then stretches her senses, attempting to track the Wizard.

The mystic approaches Najewa and bends down to retrieve the discarded book.  He examines the cover, then the area where the pages had been torn from, hoping to discover what secret it might have contained.

Ginormica moved to the others near where the book was but remained small for now. Mystical arts were not something she understood, they seemed to defy scientific logic and thus were an enigma to her.

With that, Najewa snaps out her spear to full length and proceeds to vault herself away. She pauses outside the library, looking at the giant robot, and addressing Dr Pym. "Native Americans, African-Americans, Hispanics, we have all been subjected to blind and unreasoning hatred because of the bodies we were born into. Take the time to know people inside the shell before you decide to hate."

As the Native American heroine leaps away, Sentinel calls after her, "Wait!  We should pool our resources!  Coordinate...."

"Ah bloody Hell."

Frowning he turns back to the remaining heroes, "Well what about you lot?  Any interest in following up on this mage and putting an end to whatever trouble he's looking to stir up?"

"I've got a feeling he wants to dig up things best left buried and forgotten" he glances down, grimaces at the book and its reference to forgotten gods.

"Think I'll borrow a book or two here and do a bit of light reading.  Best guess is his next target will be the museum for one or more of the artifacts kept there.   Things like that would be terribly useful to wake an ancient power."

"What do you think?  Head there now and either try to figure out which one the old boy's interested in and secure it?  Or failing that setup a stakeout and wait for the group to show?"

Having put forth some idea, the mystic waited to hear what the others had to say.  They might be the loner types, looking to do things on their own the way Najewa seemed.  Might have some ideas he hadn't thought of which could be even better.

Does the book have an index?  Any listings for the pages that were torn out?

Sentinel would like to borrow the book the mage tore the pages from, the book on artifacts and the one that describes Runt.
