Najewa admits "No, he is white. But I saw honor in him as he battled the demons beside me. He does not seem to carry that instinctive distrust we have seen in too many white-eyes. Yes, I trust him."

In reply to Najewa (msg # 172):

very well.   Can you give me a number to reach you?  I need to get a better phone from Running Bear.  I'm sure he'll let me use his.  I can record myself as if I had the scythe and send it to you.   That way I could teach your friend what to do.

In reply to Nervous elk (msg # 173):

It takes nervous elk some time to call back.   He uses a broom in place of the scythe. He starts to show Sentinel how to release the humans from their demon bonds.

This takes about half an hour.   Each drmon will have to be dealt with separately

It is now midnight and it wouldn't hurt to find out more about the humans who are possessed.

Re: Museum

"Thank you," Sentinel nods to Nervous Elk on the small phone's screen before passing both it and the scythe back to Najewa and wiping his hands, "Oy! I----REALLY don't like that thing.  You can feel the rage that forged it."

Frowning up at the moon, the mystic admits, "Never an easy choice, is there?  We can charge up to the island, knock on those demon's front door for they can draw many of their ilk into this dimension.  But even with the scythe we're still probably outnumbered and out-gunned."

"Or, we see if we can learn more bout the teens that let them in, who's flesh they're wearing.  Might make it a whole lot easier to take them out if we can get their hosts to reject them.  May mean there's of them to deal with when we get there though.  Can't say for sure just how many."

"What do you lot think?"
he looks around, "Head East now or try to find their mates wearing the same colors first?"

OOC: Question - does this count as "bind its powers" or will it still take 2 days to do that before we can effectively use it?

Re: Museum

Mal (still looking like he's about to start a dance-fight) nods at Warhammer, "it kinda sounded like that wizard was set to muster offenses, so he's probably got his defenses as bolstered as he's gonna bolst... er. Plus we have to arrange transport, both to AND from the facility. It would be a good idea to get a map and identify the main roads, borrow prison transport from the nearest department of corrections (for any demons or minions that we cure or capture)."
"Does anyone have contacts in the area that could set up to process the debris after we save the world?"

In reply to Malleable man (msg # 177):

The 2 days is to call forth the "elder gods" from their dimension.   You don't have to wait to use the scythe.

Besides, the demons don't have the scythe,  so it could take longer than they anticipated.

The books just gives them the incantations to turn a group of humans into demons or to call forth the elder gods.

They can't do either without the scythe,  but they don't know that yet.

Re: Museum

Wait what?

Then if they can't summon any more without they scythe.....does that imply the demons we're facing were already in this dimension when they were bound to the teens?

Either way, advantage heroes.

Najewa if you agree you want to suggest this route to the group?

Re: Museum

Najewa tells Sentinel "should you require materials for the transformations to occur, it gives the rest of us time to track down the gangs involved and discover the identities of the transformed. As I said, there may be loved ones that can convince them to become human again. Is there anything in the ritual to suggest that the hosts will lose their own identities over time?"

The demons can turn thugs into demons without the scythe,  but it would take a while.   The scythe could transform a group of thugs

And. Yes. Over time the thugs would lose their identity

"We should stop the flow to his armies. To that end I think we should perhaps confront the gang members supplying their troops. The sad thing is if they are doing it voluntarily to get power, they may not realize that they will lose themselves in the process. That the longer they have the powers the less they will be them and the more they will become the demons possessing them. The lure of power might be enough to get them to volunteer but they might not have the full facts and thus armed with full knowledge they might make other choices before his army swells further," Ginormica suggests.

Re: Museum

Sentinel eyes the armored uncomfortably, "Lot'o these are kids, maybe late teens.  Dumb maybe but got time to make a course correction with their lives.  How 'bout we give them that chance, hmmm?"

The mystic nods, "Right then, so speakin of dumb, doubt their ol' mates will be the helpful types.  But you lot look like you can be...persuasive...without the need to rough'em up too bad.  Some of 'em may still be sportin' some bruises from the warehouse.  Matter o fact, those are probably the best ones to get to talk."

"They weren't all from the same gang, right?  Which ones are we lookin' for?"
he asks those who were at the warehouse.

Once the newcomers are clear on the groups they're hunting for he'll suggest, "Corner of 81st and Vine, roof access in the alley.  Let's meet atop the apartment building by 7pm tomorrow, see what we've learned.  Sooner if we're lucky."

"Good hunting."

Re: Museum

Returning to his original appearance, Mal says, "OH, I get it! This is where the heroes go their separate ways to avail themselves of their individualized investigative methods so they can re-convene with enough information to formulate a plan of attack. Well, I'm still all in, but I kinda suck at investigating."
"I'll see you all on the roof of 81st and Vine, as agreed. I doubt I'll have much to tell, but, like I said, I'm all in."

As he walks out and reaches the sidewalk, Malleable Man's legs spiral, tense and launch him into the air. As he reaches the apex of his leap, his right arm whips forward and lengthens immensely as he grabs a rooftop corner and swings to a handy window ledge.

No one has streetwise.   It would have been very useful at this juncture.

Okay you are all standing outside
(The curator kicked you out, )  Wraith is willing to carry you all to the island (even though a van would work just as well as a dumpster)

Now to find street thugs.   It is midnight.   Most likely a lot of them are still awake.  I would suggest looking in the "seedy" part of the city.

Plus they were all gathering at one location (you remember that right?)  Wraith tried to scoop several of them up in a dumpster, so that might be a good place to start too.

"Let's start at the warehouse," Sentinel suggests, "we had a couple trapped inside a crushed dumpster so with any luck they may still be there.  Besides, lot of them got knocked around, if we're lucky we'll find a wallet with an up-to-date address."

The mystic will provide directions for those interested in tracking down the street punks.

Not used to detective work Ginormica will follow the lead of those characters more experienced in such matters. There was a lot to this superheroing business she hadn't got a handle on yet. Perhaps some courses at the community college in the future was in order.

"The warehouse sounds good to me," when the others suggested it.
