Re: The Warehouse

"We came here to learn more about the ones who'd become hosts," Sentinel offers, "that includes Thorne here.  Maybe someone inside knows his story, what might be important to him, or what drove him to offer his soul to a demon."

Kneeling beside the teen, Sentinel places a hand on his forehead,"In the meantime, lets see if I can find out anything useful from his memories."

08:22, Today: Sentinel rolled 31 (with 9 body) using 10 with the Hero (Champions) system.  Telepathy.

08:28, Today: Sentinel rolled 12 (with 3 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system.  ECV .
- Hit ECV 6-

Sentinel has ECV 7, 8 Mental Defense, 20 EGO...just in case the demon inside is able to pull any shenanigans

Ooc;  Thorne has an EGO of 29.  So his ECV should be 9 (correct me if I'm wrong)  also PRIMUS can handle many super powered individuals

Buuuuuuut he's unconscious and unable to effectively resist.  ECV 0?  maybe...possibly...hopefully?

Pretty sure that's double effect too, right?

Mal looks back at Sentinel, and asks, "you getting anything?"

OOC: if Thorne's EGO is 29, I believe you would need 49 points of effect to read his memories, which is all you can do with an unconscious subject

Mal looks back at Sentinel, and asks, "you getting anything?"

"Not bloody likely," the mystic mutters as he concentrates upon piercing Thorne's mind, "Even unconscious I can't break through his mental barrier.  Could be the demonic entity's alien nature."

Breaking off Sentinel stands, "Right then, we'll have to do this the old fashion way an have a chat with his mates here bout.  Maybe if we can find something psychologically important to him, I might be able to use it pierce his psyche.  Maybe learn something useful bout the rest of the hosts."

"Can't just leave him here to wake up an get back to mischief,"
he frowns before looking to the gathered heroes, "Oy, one of you with a cell, give 911 a ring an let'em know we got a supervillain here.  They should contact PRIMUS."

Turning to the warehouse and the teens still outside Sentinel strides forward to make their acquaintance.

OOC: I've got Conversation 12- to try to get them talking and steer to details.

Ooc:Solutions
a back up phone at home with normal Id stuff, when you destroy your normal phone when switching into hero Id or getting ready to go into combat if you have no place to store it
same thing with a burner  phone
this might pose a problem if the PC is poor and nobody buys them cheap burner phones
unless the PC has at least 3 points of wealth having to replace that Iphone 11 every time will get noticed at the apple store
just buy cheap track phones(50$ gets you 120 minutes, texts and 120megs of internet for 3months)

Re: The Warehouse

Sentinel pauses, regards Throne's unconscious form, and concentrates a moment...

20:26, Today: Sentinel rolled 8 (with 2 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system.  Hit Thorne with Mental Blast
- Hit ECV 10-

20:26, Today: Sentinel rolled 18 (with 6 body) using 5 with the Hero (Champions) system.  Mental Blast dmg.
- 18 dmg....does it feel like Thorne has any Mental Defense?

Recovery Table on p412 looks promising if we can Thorne past -30 STUN...

5th ed doesn't allow Haymakers with anything but STR does it?

I can try Mental Command next, just to see if Thorne happens to be susceptible to it but if not it'd be tough to get high enough to overcome his EGO.

Re: The Warehouse

Malleable Man looks back at the assembled heroes, and says, "stop that."
Forming one hand into large megaphone, he accosts the various gang members. "Hey! Anybody got a cell I can borrow?"
As some of the punks respond negatively, Mal responds in kind by stretching his other hand directly towards the negative ones and shaping it like a giant foam finger. The message from this giant foam finger, however, is not "we're number one".
As he does so, he turns his head 180° and addresses those keeping Lord Thorne subdued. "The kind of people that beat on a man when he's down are the kind of people we're USUALLY intent on stopping."
