In reply to GM (msg # 77):

Once Sentinel has recovered enough to stand again he'll examine the hosts then consult with his companions.

"With the scythe gone it will be a challenge to exorcise the demonic spirits.  There are a couple options that come to mind but none are guaranteed."

"First we might seek out more powerful magical practitioners who may be able to accomplish this without the scythe.  Second...the scythe that was destroyed was from this reality but there are others.  It may be that we can locate an alternate Earth sufficiently similar to ours that also has a scythe which can be used.  Claiming such a powerful artifact will not be without its risks..."

13:10, Today: Sentinel rolled 10 (with 3 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system ((3, 2, 5)).  KS: Mystic World, 13-
- made it by 3

13:18, Today: Sentinel rolled 8 (with 2 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system ((2, 5, 1)). KS: The Planes, 13-

Well hopefully between the 2 Sentinel either knows someone who can help or knows where another scythe might be.

Malleable man morphs as he approaches the group of demonized humans. Then he addresses them in a barely recognizable facsimile of a popular cinema character. "Amazing. Every word you said is wrong."
"If you would have been powerful, we wouldn't have been able to beat those here and your transformation would have succeeded."
"Peace and harmony can't be obtained by external force, you must obtain it from within. Like Bootsy said, 'free your mind and your butt will follow.'"

Sighing, the Malleable man quickly admits, "ok, yeah, it might've been George Clinton and he didn't say 'butt', you still know what I mean."

(How did I miss that?)

There is almost a dimension for everything.   Even one where all the heroes are villains.   There is a dimension where Foxbat got the scythe,  but he is more competent and evil.

But there is a dimension of elder gods.   Been trying to get into the dimension since the dawn of time

They may have opened a portal just big enough for the scythe with a material that doesn't belong on this dimension.

Oh. And the Sacrifices don't trust you,  so ignored you.

Re: The next scene

Najewa spots Sentinel's injuries and reaches into her medicine bag. A short ritual spell later, and his bloody wounds magically heal over. She says "I am a neophyte at magic, but healing was the first ritual I learned."

22:54, Today: Najewa rolled 14 (with 3 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system with rolls of 5, 5, 4.  3d6 Healing.

In reply to Sentinel (msg # 86):

This is the basics.  There was no warning and the power outage lasted only 5minutes.  The bots were acting normally before the outage.  A few prisoners were just ending their exercise walk when everything just quit working.  With no bots or tech we automatically drop to black alert, expecting a breakout attempt.

None of the prisoners seemed prepared.  Of course some took advantage, which I will go into detail in a minute.

When power was restored, some prisoners were still in their cells.  The bots came back online and attacked everybody, prisoner and guard alike.  All the bots on the administration level, just left.  Walked right out, about 20 bots.  The rest attacked.

4 people killed, 2 guards and 2 prisoners.  Dragon fly is hurt badly.  Sonar and Radar (points to 2 in prison garb) have been working with us for a year and will be released soon.

we have 3 levels of prisoners, depending on their strengths and danger they propose. Esper, Freon and, Alchema are loose on level 1
Requim, Frost, and Ripper are loose on level 2 and
Geothermal and Glacier are loose on level 3

The elevator is the only way down there, and more may be hurt if nothing is done.  So, our goal is to take out the bots until they don't pose a threat and to recapture the loose prisoners.

Re: The next scene

"How many robots are we talking here?  Any fail-safes on them?" Sentinel asks, "Is there a central control for all the robotic guards where they could be shutdown?" he echoed Ginormica's question.  He hadn't heard an total count of security robots but if there were 20 in administration alone then fighting all of them seemed out of the question.

"What about available equipment?  Is there any way to insulate ourselves from the suppression field of the prison?"

Disabling the suppression field itself for any length of time was unthinkable.  Facing dozens of robots was bad enough but facing an entire prison full of super-powered villains was tantamount to suicide.

To Ginormica he suggests, "Perhaps if we can disable one of the robots you'll be able to analyze its programming a determine what's happened to them."

The group needed a place to start; maybe analyzing a bot was a good first step?  Maybe someone else had a better idea....

In reply to Sentinel (msg # 88):

. In the basement we have about 20 bots, no prisoners, or guards.  On the hot sleep level, we have 10 bots and 2 loose mega villains; one cold, one lava.  On the middle level we have 10 guards, 10 bots, and 3 loose prisoners.  On the level just below us is the same as the second.

I have an ultra off switch for the bots, but a bot is in there guarding it.  He is the one that hurt dragon fly.  I also have a kill switch for the power dampened in there, but you have to go to the basement with it to turn it on and off.  2 people required, much like a nuke device; but nothing that could assist a villain or hero individually.  Remember, if it could assist a hero, it can assist a prisoner.

And we do have robot experts on staff, but one left with the escaped bots.  He was new.

The best option would seem to destroy the bot guarding the fail safe, then deal with the prisoners. Preferably before Geo realizes he can lava his way out.

As Sentinel grabbed the robot with his mystic power a strange sound comes to his ears.

OOC: added Sentinel's STR roll to post above.  Looks like he beat Robot's roll and has Grabbed the robot.  No damage but hopefully sets him up for other team members to hit him easier

12:26, Today: Sentinel rolled 8 (with 2 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system.  Hearing PER, 13-.

Re: The next scene

Ginormica wasn't sure what was the best of her plans. She quickly thought about using some sort of available material to create a barrier around the elevator entrance. Still seeing Sonar go down to the robot on this floor she had to move to engage that robot. She wasn't sure if she could damage it, she hadn't proven very effective on the island she thought. There was not space here to grow to full size and she wasn't sure how she'd damage the droid but perhaps it had some sort of interface she could access.

She shrunk down and headed towards the last known location of the robot and looked about for an access panel or something on the robot that she might enter it to effect 'repairs'.

16:31, Today: Ginormica rolled 7 (with 2 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system with rolls of 1, 4, 2.  Perception Roll.

(19 or less hearing roll?)

Those that made their roll hear a fax style signal.  Those that made it by 2, know its coming through the monitors not the bots.

The bot does have an access panel, but remember, if you can do it, so can a villain.  It is a electronic numbering key.

Warhammer bends the metal just a little.

Ginormica watched as the robot was crushed while she was looking for a way to reprogram it. She wondered how much the droids cost the taxpayers for a moment before returning to the elevator to prepare for the rest of the robots.

She decided to stop at the control panel where the monitors were making the strange noise and grew back to full size. She thought that perhaps the monitors strange noise was somehow affecting the droids.

She accessed the station and attempted to shut down the monitors system wide.

Warhammer who has computer programming, electronics, robotics, inventor and security systems ignores the changing fax sound and boasts a bot.

Najewa who doesn't, realizes the signal is controlling the bots and gets an extra experience point.

A random guard pushes a computer console down the elevator shaft temporarily blocking the rest of the bots.

Giving the players one more chance.  Ginormica and wrath go outside as the terrible threesome just dug their way up.

Now lets try other methods besides just shooting bots.
