Chaper One: The Festival of Blossoms

The first month of spring is considered the halbearer of the year. The Festival of Blossoms marks the beginning of Spring proper, where the chill of winter gives way to the first blossoming's of flowers and green growth of the forest. If it remains cold beyond the first month, it means a bitter spring and hotter summer. This year the first month of spring was bitterly cold, drawing some slight fear that the Festival would be delay if not cancelled. Fortune turned swiftly towards the end of the first month, giving way to a warm spring that few expected. The rush to be ready for the Festival caused all manners of confusion, until the elders of Gentlebreeze took matters into their own hand and brought everything into order.

It is on the eve of the Festival of Blossoms, with flowers blooming between each tree, through the meadows of your home. Xialo the Green Mage walks through each grove, calling for the flowers to bloom. The songs of the Loremaster Bareil Sinsaulii echo through the town, illusions playing amongst the boughs of the trees. Shandra Quelsainil keeps the volunteer members of the Watch alternate shifts to keep her recruits fresh, though she never seems to step down to relax her guard. Finally, the High Priest Anaduil Reykalyn and Storemaster Qin Leithianeth work to ensure that the festival is properly blessed by Corellon and to use the older stores in new and interesting ways, to delight the taste buds even if the item was preserved.

As dusk falls, fairy lights play about your homes, each elf with musical talents lends their melodies to the night air. Spontaneous picnics pop up in every clearing, displaying the bounties for anyone to sample. Almost all are engaged in friendly chatter, some more serious than others, awaiting moonrise and the High Priests' call for the Blessing of Corellon upon the people and village of Gentlebreeze.

Chaper One: The Festival of Blossoms

Casyr was at his appointed post keeping a vigilant watch out for any intruders or problems that might interfere with the celebrations going on inside the village. One could never be to careful Captain Quelsainil had often said.

This was when the village was most vulnerable. Thus they had to be the most vigilant at their posts. He had mouthed the songs recited by others but kept his voice to himself so as not to give away his own location.

Chaper One: The Festival of Blossoms

Ruven could not contain his joy as he walked through the town. The flowers were in bloom, music filled the air, and the people were joyously chatting. There were few things Ruven loved more than festivals. When he heard singing the elf gladly joined in, singing along with the Loremaster and other citizens.

However Ruven did not mindlessly wander. As a servant of the temple the elf was tasked with insuring everyone was ready for the festival. He bounced from group to group, carrying food, answering questions, and various other small tasks.

20:25, Today: Ruven Reykalyn rolled 19 using 1d20+7.  Perform: Singing.

Chaper One: The Festival of Blossoms

Springtime was a time that all in the village waited for.  The flowers, the warm sun, and the Festival of Blossoms.  Though Shanaera usually wore dark clothing this was one time in the year that she got colorful.  She enjoyed all the preparations and often helped her father cast illusions for others to look at and wonder at the imagination.

Shanaera didn't add her voice to the singing though.  It pained her that she couldn't sing but she could dance and so she did.

At one point she looked for Aergleel to see what he was doing to prepare for the Festival.
