In reply to St. John-Smythe (msg # 1025):

But hey, there are plenty of ~ QUOTE: 'basic armor, weapons, grenades and ammo, so you can stock up.'

You can get your cybernetic eye handled, and Techno-Wizard items still fall under 'basic' stuff a character could get.

There are two items Not epic that Symeril is looking for...
1) CS 'knock-off' Vibro-Spear
2) K-1000 Spider Defense System 'heh'

Both are listed as Fair Availability...

And one cyber implant...

Re: Sum Up!

To mention - the Wilk's 1000 Pulse Laser Cannon from the Merc Ops book was recommended to me once. If one can actually use it, it's pretty nice. I already have a heavy support weapon that I favor, but this one is likely cheaper to keep charged up.

Re: Sum Up!

My character in Captain's last game had one of those, though I don't think she ever used it.

They're quite nice, especially if you can connect them to a permanent power source.

Re: Sum Up!

It was recommended to me that I get as much power as I can, so I do have specifics that I want. It won't actually help me against vampires (directly), unless it comes with a buttload of silver ammo or somehow retrofitted with those CSA Silvered Vibro-Blades that were deployed in Defenders of Humanity, but against anything not immune to everything like a vampire it's pretty powerful, and generally not for sale.

If I had my true wish, I'd strap a Naruni heavy force field on it, and make the ultimate tribute to CJ Carella - the Legion Counterstrike power armor, in South America 2, pg 115-116.

Chaplain would ask if it is a prototype Super-SAMAS, or if the original design for that armor came from this design. He wouldn't know what the hell the Multiversal Legion was, although he'd be surprised to learn everything in that unit is in a really old dialect of American. He would have expected Spanish.

Re: Sum Up!

Yeah, I considered a super cool robo-'Dragon' mount for Symeril.. but I settled for a simple cool sword that just does a little more consistent damage to EVERYTHING.  Hopefully, the Cosmo Knight who it belonged to is no longer alive or she might have to give it back.  She's scrupulous... she'd do that, but she would be clueless as to what a COSMO-KNIGHT is.

{COSMO KNIGHT - COSMIC Claymore} Cosmic Claymore = Dam: 1D4x10MD+PS{+8}, +1 ST, Throw: 1,000ft/ 4,000ft{space}-Returns Automatically, Indestructable
- Power: Energy Blast = 2x Range-Cosmic Blast, +1 ST, Damage +10MD
* Since Symeril is NOT a Cosmo-Knight, she has no Cosmic Blast to 'lens' through the weapon...
But she can channel her Psi-Sword through it for the +1 ST and Damage +10MD

huh...perhaps I need to raise my estimation of what nothing crazy is?

And on a different note, we should start a new OOC thread soon before this one gets locked.

Re: Sum Up!

Well to be truthful Cole... hunting Vamps is not a task for most Robot Vehicles.. they are bulky and hard to get into place without attracting a ton of attention... so I can understand why Chaplin wants some powered armor.  Plus the fact that to properly 'stake' a vampire you need a strength of 28 to do it one handed.. or fill your other hand with a hammer to drive it in.  Not very efficient in full-contact combat.  That is solved by having a Supernatural Strength of 18+, most powered armors are PS 22+ supernatural.

So I do understand where Chaplin is coming from.  You don't need to worry over that cause your always going to be using your shooting irons with silver bullets.

My cute COSMIC Claymore on average does moderately more damage than my normal psi-sword, but not so much more as to make my psi-sword obsolete which is fine by me ~ which is also why I didn't go for the increased damage power for the Cosmic Weapon. I only wanted something to give me just a little better edge damage-wise, but leave the rune weapon alone for Ezekiel to get.

My Powered armor solves most of my staking Vamps issues with it's supernatural PS 24.

I still don't have a mount to do lance charges on, but I now have a lance-like weapon the CS vibro-spear at least... so I'm getting there.

Power armors do not have supernatural strength, unless they are the Angrar brand.  Power armor have robotic strength.

Re: Sum Up!

power armors by the rules as listed in Vampire kingdoms have sufficient strength to stake vampires is what matters. Its not full supernatural strength but it is sufficiently superhuman ~ as listed in Vampire kingdoms.

EDIT: Yeah, human strength of PS 28+, Robotic Strength of PS 18+, or Supernatural Strength of 10+

Symeril's Globe of Daylight is only 72'ft in diameter... but her goal is to kill Vamps ...not keep them at bay.  She uses the globe to protect others while she's staking Vamps!

What is Phat Epic Lootz and Legendary Lootz?

Here are some parameters, and I am going to trust you guys to have common sense and pick out your goodies.

Epic lootz are going to be things that have a credit price on them that wouldn't mean that you killed a god, or that you took over a kingdom. They would be amazing things you could feasibly, one day, afford to acquire.

Something legendary falls outside of the pervue of saving up enough credits and is so rad our heads explode.

Cool?

So, no price listed because no market sale, not an option. Understandable, acceptable, and tragic for me, but I can think of something.

What is Phat Epic Lootz and Legendary Lootz?

I am looking at getting a vehicle with a four-man crew, and trading in the Skull Walker. It is an iconic vehicle, Wolf loves it, he just got it back, and he hasn't used the damn thing in a fight, but...

If I had a superior vehicle, but that required a larger crew, would I have such a crew capable of using and firing the weapons? Storage area would be tragically reduced to an overhead locker that could only store eight weapons - I'm still trying to figure out what the hell a NE-60 even is. I suspect it will be a different weapon.

I'd have to transport my stuff to the APC, which I'm sure would break everyone's heart.

I've edited out my find of the Cosmic Weapon... but still trying to decide what I want in the context of Robert's dimensional pocket.  The orginal post by Cptn Necker... did not include Vehicles or Robotic Mounts...so...

Noooooooooooooooo...

If my Epic loot is limited to a personal find, then maybe something from Phase World? A Naruni Super-Heavy force field to integrate into the armor, or maybe some kind of Phase tech that I have yet to consider, or will render one of my weapons obsolete?

There! Seems kinda mundane but I'll settle for a I-11 Long Gun (Cardoba/Santiago}... nice sniper rifle.  With it and the CS-Vibro Spear.. I can use them for parts to manufacture my Sniper-Lance.

Now all I need is a Mount of some sort.  Small steps..
