"Sounds like he's got the money to pay us," Nash said.  "Let's go."

Grik sighed, conceding that he had been outvoted.  He shuffled off with the rest of the group.

Raymas had arranged to meet the crew at a small restaurant in the city of Kwilaan.  When the crew arrived at the restaurant, Raymas was not yet there.  "Well, I guess we should pick out a table and wait for him," Grik suggested.

OOC: Make a Knowledge(tactics) check.

OOC 7+1=8  Yay.

Though Nash wasn't sure what exactly the best play was here, Askrik, after surveying the layout of the restaurant, suggested "The most private table will be in that back area."

Nash nodded in agreement and led the way to the back, while discretely keeping an eye out for trouble or their contact.

OOC 8+6=14 Perception.

Nash could definitely not see Raymas and he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary as the crew sat down around the table in the back room.  Nash noticed that there was a back door here that was technically only for emergency exits.

They waited for quite a while, and Nash was beginning to give up on the prospect of a meeting when Raymas finally walked into the restaurant.  He took a quick look out the door as it closed behind him.  His dark brown wavy hair and his thick goatee wer starting to be streaked with gray.  He had clearly gained a few kgs since the last time Nash had seen him--his large belly was starting to peek out from the bottom of his shirt.  He noticed Nash and headed back to the crew's table, flicking his holster flap open and shut twice.

He sat down at the end of the table with his back to the nearby door.  "Let's make this quick," he said.  "I think I was followed."  He immediately dived into his proposal.  "The offer is simple: 8,000 credits to split between you to temporarily deactivate a Naboo sensor array."

OOC: What does Nash do?

"I'm a bounty hunter, Raymas," Nash reminded him casually, running his finger around the rim of his drink.

"I understand that Nash," Raymas responded flicking his holster flap again.  "And being a bounty hunter takes resources."  Raymas paused and leaned forward, his hands on the table.  "And sometimes if you don't have enough resources, your bounty gets scooped up by someone else." Raymas pointed out with a large grin.  "So consider this an investment.  You invest a little time and skills and your return is money you can use to purchase more resources.  C'mon Nash, let me help you out."  Raymas leaned back in his seat again.

Nash leaned back in his seat and grinned.

"You say the nicest things," Nash replied, shaking his head.  "Alright.  You've sold me on it."

"Why do you need the sensor array disabled?" Grik asked, still skeptical.

"I need to get an important shipment of rare spices past the array," Raymas explained.  "Less tax," Raymas continued with a wink and a smile, "equals more profit."

OOC: Any comments?

"Naturally," Nash responded.  "Just good business."

"Where and when does this deactivation need to take place?" Askrik hissed.

"Any time during the next night," Raymas replied.  "I'll be able to detect when you've deactivated the array, at which point I'll land my ship in the city.  As for where, the sensor array is just outside the city of Kwilaan here."

"What can you tell us about the security around the sensor array?" Quoshent asked.

Raymas flicked his holster once more before answering.  "There will be 2-4 Naboo security guards on the perimeter of the sensor array.  Additionally, there will be a few technicians inside the sensor array that you'll need to take care of."

Before any more questions could be asked, three men came through the restaurant door and headed straight for Nash's table.  The leader, a large Human with a blaster pistol at his side, looked right at Raymas and said, “Come with me, Daal, I’ve got a few questions.” Raymas didn’t hesitate; he jumped out of his seat, turned around and ran for the back exit. The three men started shooting at Raymas.  But as Raymas disappeared through the door and the men's shots hit the door frame, one of them turned his gun on Nash.

OOC: How does Nash react?

Nash casually raised his hands.

"How can I help you officers?" Nash asked.

With Nash's calm reaction, the leader of the group also turned to Nash.  "You can tell me what you were doing with that person of interest," the leader demanded.

OOC: You might make a Persuasion or Deception check, depending on how you want to answer.

"It was just an old friend who wanted to meet for drinks," Nash lied, badly (Natural 1)

"You're going to need to come with us," the leader said, clearly not buying what Nash was selling.

Suddenly Askrik rose from his seat hissing "Not a chance!"  He fired his blaster rifle and a blue ring shot out at the person next to him.  His shot missed and Askrik growled "Quoshent, did you switch my blaster rifle to stun again?"

"Of course I did," Quoshent answered as he skittered out of reach of Askrik's long arms.  "I could tell what you were going to do."  Quoshent then fired his sporting blaster pistol set on stun at the person at the end of the table.  His shot hit, shocking the person slightly.

OOC: Those 2 had a surprise round because they knew what they were going to do.  Roll for Initiative and we'll start the first regular round.  Also, see map.  Sorry it's hard to see all the letters.  You're all basically around the table in the bottom right corner.

"WHAAAAAAAAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Nash shouted, immediately springing into action.

OOC Oh, NOW I get a 20.

The person next to Askrik swung their stun baton at him, but Askrik sidestepped the blow.  "I'm making sure we can do what we said we would," Askrik explained.

Quoshent was not so lucky against the person attacking him who hit him on the arm with their stun baton.  He gave a small squeal.

OOC: Nash's turn.

Frustrated and furious at the sudden turn of events, Nash drew himself up to his most intimidating.

OOC 16+6 Persuasion (Intimidate).  Using the Intimidator feat.  Against NS 2

Despite his fury, Askrik decided to keep his weapon on stun, but still couldn't hit the man in front of him.

The leader of the group aimed his blaster pistol at Askrik as he was the most aggressive, despite his ineffectiveness.  The leader's stun blast hit Askrik slowing him down slightly.

Quoshent kept his blaster aimed at the enemy next to him, and made him jolt once again with a hit.

Grik rolled his eyes, but at this point he saw no choice but to join the melee.  He pulled out his DT-12 heavy blaster pistol, especially suited for his non-Human hands, and blasted a stun shot at the same guy Quoshent had been targeting.  The stun blast hit him square in the chest and he keeled over, unconscious.

The remaining non-leader enemy tried to attack Askrik once again with his stun baton, but he had been too intimidated by Nash to make an effective attack.

OOC: Nash's turn again.

Nash drew his pistol and shot a stun bolt at the one closest to him.

OOC 2+2 (Point Blank Shot) = 4  WOW.

Nash’s shot missed.

Askrik shot another stun bolt at the opponents nearest him, but the man dodged it.

The enemy closest to Nash fired at him, stunning him slightly.

Quoshent fired at the man nearest to Askrik, but also missed.

Grik fired at the enemy attacking Nash, but also missed.

The opponent next to Askrik swung his stun baton at the Trandoshan, but Askrik sidestepped the blow.

Nash aimed another stun bolt at the foe nearest him.

OOC 8+2 (Point Blank Shot) =10

Nash’s attack missed.

Askrik attacked the opponent in front of him. His stun bolt hit, causing the foe to sag.

The person at whom Nash fired, shot back at Nash, but also missed.

Quoshent jumped up on the table so he could have an angle on Askrik’s attacker. His stun bolt also hit, putting that opponent out of the fight.

Grik stepped around the unconscious body of the person he’d already downed and shot at Nash’s attacker, hitting him and causing him to flag.

OOC: Nash’s turn.

Nash's shot missed again.

Askrik's shot finished the final foe.

"Well now what?" asked Grik.
