Ah, I be much sorry! However, there are many other options Hazel, and I am happy to waive an RTJ for people here so long as we have a quick chat. I know I can trust you as good writers. :D

If I had a second choice it would be Victoria, soooo... The only other original series companion I'm familiar with is Ace, who is not a great match for my playstyle, and I'm frustrated with the amount of effort I wasted.

I suppose I'd be interested in playing a very...dumb character? Someone who's a bit of a doofus or a ditz, I guess. :)

(By the way, I love Susan Foreman--the first episode of the show is really good, and she's so damn good in it.)

Harry is a good notion, he's very brave and heroic, but usully a bit out of his depth and a bit of a doof. Jamie is a good option too, for similar reasons. Likewise Steven. And it would give the group some muscle, too! There's always the Leela option, but you might be more aggressive and stabby than dumb.

Leela could be fun for thems as want to be savage warrior types.

Depends where you take her from in her timeline. She got fairly civilised on her time on Gallifrey. It'd be a lot more fun to take her from somewhere around Talons of Weng-Chiang, though. She has enough knowledge and experience to handle the science weirdness, but still enough savagery to be a very useful and fun person to play.

So, to clarify, we currently have Susan, who will be coming from a later point in her timeline, a couple of decades (or three) after being left on Earth, but with her immediate past horrifyingly corrupted due to PLOT! And Victoria, who has been living on Earth after leaving the TARDIS, for a little over eighteen months, and is nearly eighteen.

A Leela would be excellent. A Harry or Jamie would be wonderful... Harry especially, I can work a lot with Harry, and he'll help a lot having medical skills. And give female NPCs someone to flirt with... O8-)

And there will be one more who is as yet undecided. They're going to wait to see what everybody else chooses before deciding, which is fair enough. Everyone has their own nice skillsets, though. Good team!

I think I could manage Harry. I'll have to start digging through episodes with him to brush up on my knowledge. I assume I should start a PM or rMail chat with you, Zen?

I really won't require a huge amount of information from you, as I know you are all good RPers and I can trust you! I do need to get some sort of info from you though. I need to know where the character is in their personal timeline, but I can pick a good spot if you are not sure where that might be. Harry from any of his stories is pretty good.

As for Leela, if you select her, Leela as she is in the Sunmakers would be more or less ideal!

I could see myself playing Leela as well, but I'd like to give our friend Hazel Winters first choice on that! :)

(So, currently looking at Leela and Harry, and will absolutely give Leela to Hazel if there's interest on that side of things.)

I feel I should point out that the construction of the plot mean that any character can vanish and be relaced more or less immediately without breaking the game and immersion. Indeed, it would serve to only make the situation all the more perilous and desperate. So if you DO start to play a character and decide it is not really the one you are comfortable with, you can switch without any difficulty at all. I would not hold you to playing something you are not enjoying!

I think it's safe to say that Berith isn't returning so, I have to know: what was going on with Franz, Franz?

Ooh, mystery!

So what I wrote for Franz's background is that his father, a renowned xenoarchaeologist, has sent Franz out to make his own name in the same field. His father remains back home in cryo-stasis, waiting for his return.

During his time at university, Franz fell in with proponents of a heterodox philosophy, people who called themselves "xenotheologists," in effect people who wanted to revive alien religion.

Unbeknownst to Franz, his father had an experience of religious rapture during an expedition of his own (so this runs in the family).

In the latter part of this game, after he was stung by that creature, Franz started having certain hallucinations, especially on any data screens, which he interpreted to be an alien intelligence reaching out to him. :)

While we're confessing, the reason the two bounty hunters didn't wake up is that Hazel sabotaged their pod to keep them asleep until I wanted them to wake up.

Very interesting...Liz may have been the only character in the group without secrets or hidden motives.

I miss this game. :(
