Hello all. I have taken a peek at some character sheets I noticed that a few characters are in their teens.

So when it comes to character age I actually envision all the characters to be in their mid 20’s (24-26ish) as this is the age of a contemporary combat pilot. I did not make that clear so that’s my fault.

To be a contemporary combat pilot (at least in the USA and other western counties) you have to have a collage degree, then the pipeline to become a combat pilot is 2 years long. Once the 1st Robotech War begins the pipeline will be shortened and the collage degree requirement will be waived. New pilots would also start out at an enlisted rank.

That said in this case if a player were to take the young hinderance the character would be 17-20 which would reflect someone who graduated collage/university at a young age and then somehow made it through their respective militarily’s grueling 2 year pipeline for combat pilots. You would still be ‘young” in the eyes of some of the other pilots. Some of the other pilots would be old enough to be your mother or father.

I'm having some trouble deciding which military regiment to be a part of. Some help?

What country do you want to be from?

Of the nose weapons/sensor I added to the veritech, which do you prefer?

Or do you want to be crazy enough to be assigned to a conventional fighter squadron?

I know I answered your question with other questions. But regardless of which unit your with, you guys will all end up flying alongside each other, and (probably) not even know each other. I did this dynamic in my palladium Robotech game (which started with the same battle) and it was a great way to 'bring the group together' and still allow character to be from different countries.

Don’t worry if you want to fly something I listed that isnt in SWADE (F-15, SU-27 or AV-8B). I’ll get stats up for you.

There have been 8 RTJ's in less then a day. I am not gonna turn off the accepting players notification until I get 8 named characters.

I think I might go for the F-15. The character I am arriving at in my head is someone who is suspicious of the veritech fighters, and considers piloting an F-15 to be a truer test of flight skill. With that in mind, I suppose that I would be in the USAF 44th Fighter Squadron!

It looks like at least 3 players are gonna pilot conventional fighters. TO BE CLEAR no matter what you fly initially, you will fly a veritech in the 2nd scenario I have planned.

Please PM me once your character sheet is done. If you can list where/how things are distributed that would help me a lot as I am new to the Savage Worlds.
