--- Trouble in Berlin ---
Nov.10th, 5:36PM
As the afternoon wears on. The bustling city of Berlin has begun to settle down slightly as nightfall approaches. Businessmen and women have filled the streets with their comings and goings. The smell of woodfire smoke permeates the darkening winter skies.
The train station is similarly filled with activity as workers move cargo to and from the train. Oil lamps are lit by uniformed lamplighters as they make their way through the city streets. The station's platforms are filled with people saying goodbyes to loved ones and mounds of baggage have porters busy filling the storage compartments. Near the front of the train, the Conductor and the train security escort the assassin and Marconi's effects into police custody. Along with his report.
Meanwhile, two blocks away, the streets are similarly filled with people. The wide intersection is a crazy mess of traffic. A combination of horses and carts and simple motorcars are pushing through at a dizzying pace. Two traffic police are directing the craziness.
Suddenly from one side of the road, a man tromps into the road holding his head. He appears to be in the grips of an excruciating headache, and his breathing is hoarse and fast. He squeezes his eyes together tightly as he aimlessly sways disoriented, wandering into the traffic lanes. Horns and loud bells (and the people controlling them) scream at him to get out of the way. The traffic director blows a whistle as he closes on the man. The man falls to his knees in agony. Finally unable to take it, he shouts into the sky, and to his surprise, is accompanied by a deafening sonic boom that could be heard across the city most likely.
(B-BOOOOOOMMMMM!)
Nearby people are knocked down, one car is overturned and a horse is plain knocked out by the shockwave. Hundreds of people begin to turn and run in the opposite direction. Almost all glass items shatter apart with in a one block radius.
(OOC: The characters back at the train(or station) definitely know what's up. Those elsewhere on threads are taking place prior to this, so do not cut short your conversations, please. Take care of what you want to first.)
