Hope is one for the shadows for her own skills, but also knows that she needs to rely on others in this situation, so she's all for waiting too

Ok so two teams? One going into forest tommirow and the other watching the camp, or are you all watching the camp or all going into forest?

If I am reading things correctly, we will stay in town for the night, keeping a watch on things as has been the case since leaving Baldur's Gate.

In the morning, we can investigate the woods, since the cultists are unlikely to try anything too belligerent in daylight (I hope).

Alright, with that in mind I will try to get the post up tomorrow after work if I can.

If anyone has any different plans let me know and I will adjust accordingly.

okay so for the people who intend to do more than just watch the cultists from afar but actually sneak around following them I will need DEX Stealth checks.

As for the post it will likely be tomorrow. It seems that trying to post during my work week is just not very feasible since I get home so late and have to be up so early, but tomorrow is my Friday so I should be able to make it work then.

Hope: Are you talking about scouting the camp or the forest?

The cultists have been sent to the forest. The leader and the red wizard and a few guards are with the wagons. We might be able to snoop around, but I'm not sure what we find out. We know they have ill-gotten loot, we know the leader is bad ass, and the red wizard could probably toast us.

That female elf that we have seen with the leader always seems to be scared of him and that might mean she is susceptible to being turned...might be worthwhile to go into the forest and see if we can talk to her on her own.

Korym the PC will not be keen to jeopardise the mission (tracking the cultists to their northern base) but he can probably be brought around (especially if the rest of the group makes the decision and goes with it! :-)

Let me know the decision, and I will get post up accordingly.

I vote for the forest.

As a player I am intrigued by meeting that scared elf to see if we can get her story.

As a PC, I think Korym will go along, because it is reduces the possibility of screwing up the mission by attacking the bad guys!! :-D

Or if something happens in the forest, it is NOT tied to the caravan and can probably be written off as exuberant treasure seekers fighting over loot.

Hey all sorry for delay, my dad is in hospital with covid again, it was bad but getting better, I will resume posting when life gets a little more stable.

Didn't think about shadow, but would she survive seven points of damage if she were to pass the save? If that is possible then I will let you roll a dex save for her otherwise she was fried back to the spirit realm.

I think in bat form she has 1 hp!! So no more Shadow for the time being.
