Alright, then, in perusing the DD monster list, I will go with green (black) slime for its movement rate of 1. That should allow us to destroy it before it can escape.

It's rather curious to see the difference between it and later editions. It's pretty much a modernized but otherwise literal copy of the original 1974 D&D rules. For example, the spell reads like this in the 3LBB:

If nobody wants to try anything different I will resolve actions tomorrow.

We changed that to a green slime per the OOC. Fire is the way to go with slimes.

Bernhard, I think Brother Nerrag is the only cleric in the party, so I would just directly ask him for a cure light wounds. He's not always that proactive and like Thorik must be prodded.

But Ronan has always been indiscriminately callous and egocentric. If there is a thread of kindness within him, I've yet to find it.

Just FYI: Bernhard that will be a Breath Save +2 to get Thorik out of the way in time. If anyone else wants to walk through the doorway, they will be attacked with 'a share' (12/# people coming through) of the crossbow bolts, unless they make a Breath save, in which case they will be attacked by only one.

You need to see your target to cast a spell, so there's no way to remain completely in cover and still do so.

I posted the Breath Save in my original message.

Do we have room to get cover from the doorway? I'm having a hard time with the configuration of this corridor.

So, my plan is to wait for the arrows to stop flying and then drop a Web spell on those suckers.

This is the are you're in now. A is the point where you stand, 1 is where the goblins are. The stairs to the west are the way you came.

So, here's the exact way I will resolve it (you may change your actions):

-Roll initiative.
-If PCs go first, goblins haven't had time to reload their crossbows and can't shoot their volley. Plus they will be unarmed for melee, so +2 to be hit.
-If goblins go first, each PC attacking them will save vs Breath or be shot by an equal share of the goblins.

Party initiative, or personal? If party, Ronan can roll it, I believe he is the leader.
