The prisoner crawls away from Bernhard, spit dribbling from his mouth. He tries to speak, but all that comes out is some sort of bark. This appears to frustrate the man thing, and he beats on the ground with both fists as he yelps and yells.

Ronan gives Bernhard a curious look, "He's not up for adoption, you know?"

Bernhard looks at the prisoner and shakes his head.

“Sorry friend. We’ll come back for you. Right now we need to kill some more goblins.”

Bernhard takes some more food from his pack and passes it through the bars of the cell.

“All right, lets get a move on.”

"Perhaps the faculty of speech has been taken from him?"

Falan observed the stranger for a few moments yet, before sadly departing with his fellows. They would have to return to help him later.

You leave the poor sap behind and head north along the corridor.
Suddenly, as you approach the corner towards the west, Bernhard and Black Angus' swords tug at their hands, as if they want to fly into the wall beyond, and the warriors are barely able to retain their grip on them. They feel their armor doing the like, too, threating to send them flying.

There's about 10' from the spot on which you stopped to the wall. The corridor continues west for more than 40' (you cannot see any further).

"What gives here? A lodestone of some kind?" he pulls himself back from the spot.

"Well, that's a damn nuisance," Ronan observes after the hidden monster magnet begins to exert its influence.

"We need to load up the metal in a wooden chest and try to push it past."

Bernhard also struggles to backtrack away from the mysterious force.

“Good place for an ambush. Be ready.”

"An ambush wielding, what, clubs? I suppose in this case they would kill as well as anything else."

Falan held down all his equipment, trying not to let anything slip away.

Angus steps as far back as necessary to get away from the force.

Ronan tries to remember where a suitable chest might be found.

"A sharpened stick will kill as well as a dagger given the opportunity," Bernhard grunts as he continues to struggle.

You reckon that you could manage to pull off any metal items off the wall, with some effort; however the impact would make a significant sound.
Will you try to pass (and how), or will you turn back?

Is there any bedding/blankets available that we could put against the wall to stifle the sound of the metal banging up against it?

Further, Silence 15' Radius is an excellent spell for any cleric to have prepared.

OOC: Are we currently stuck to the wall in our armor? Or were we able to back away from the area?

OOC: It sounds like we're being pulled to the wall, and maybe our weapons are against the wall. I think Ronan's suggestion might work, maybe?

OOC: No blankets in this area here. However they might be found elsewhere.
You're not stuck right now, just being pulled; if you're pulled to the wall you would be able to pull yourself free (with some difficulty, but still).

Okay, let's do that.

You distribute your packs, cloaks and other soft equipment along the wall as best as you can to muffle the impact of your metal items.
11:10, Today: Dungeon Master rolled 2 using 1d6.  1-2 noise.
Mostly, you're able to get most of your stuff across with only light thumps against sacks and packs. However, despite your best efforts, every other sound disappears completely as a helmet crashes against the wall, the vibration afterwards singing the loudest song you've ever heard before you quickly stiffle it. You stand still for a couple of moments. Nothing. It seems that nobody is coming for you, at least for the moment.

You may continue on now. The corridor goes 80' to the west, then turns to the north. There is a door on the northern wall of the corridor at 50'.

Bernhard rearms himself as quickly and quietly as he can.

"Thorik why don't you check that door. Just don't walk into an ambush."

Bernhard keeps a watchful eye and ear down the corridor for advancing foes.

Angus gets set back up too, worried there may be some one or something waiting for them now!

Thorik grunts and takes a look at the door. "Nothing." He puts his ear to it, then grunts again. "Nope."

It was time to rebuild some trust!

"In we go, then," Ronan urges, confident that nothing beyond good vides were beyond that door.

Falan had his bow at the ready, pointing it in to the door as he gave Thorik the sign to pull it open. He was ready for whatever threat may be on the other side of the door.
