I also wanna ask, unrelated to the last post I made - is the Occult Skill basically your knowledge of magic and weird shit? Or is it more like the COC Occult Skill where it's more just folk-knowledge and hear-say.
Occult skill would cover both of these things, and will be the skill for your powers.
I answered some questions for you on the Discord, and I'll append some additional clarifications here:
-You can absolutely play a trans character, and I encourage that. Various genetic alterations were produced in the clones, which could include or induce such a thing.
-You were educated by a computer which uploaded data into your brain while you were in suspended animation.
-Your knowledge base only covers up to shortly before the bombs fell, at which point the computer ceased receiving updates. (Due to the bombs and ensuing conflict, all facilities were left unattended.)
-You could carry a (ghost-steel?) data slug or data pad containing the program which taught you, if you want. It wouldn't be AI, but it could be sentimental.
-You could have implanted Sybil Rose Devlin memories, if you want.
-You probably have a higher-than-average knowledge of Pentacorp and its pre-war inner workings, which could prove valuable in some circumstances.
-Witches technically have standard trappings for certain powers, but for others you should feel free to come up with your own as needed.
-It's pretty likely that on some level you'll be multifaceted. Think about what your character will do, other than "being a badass witch lady." This could even take on some character-building relevance
-I'll try to include a summary of the Devlin plotline for your benefit in the loredump.
-Keep in mind that in Deadlands we play heroic characters, so the Devlin witches kind of takes on a sort of tragic aspect, since Mina Devlin and all of her descendants until now have basically been straightforwardly evil, Mina herself having become one of the most brutal and notorious Rail Barons to establish her family's fortune.
