Re: OOC Chatter (1)

What we have, 3 1st level halflings, a 1/2 elf cleric/mage, and a human fighter.

Want to recruit a little, or run with it? ;-)

Nerull:
Gilli, Minnie and Perna are players again, if you want, I can change your tags to what you are.

Hadn't even noticed. Thanks.

BTW: I'll just play them with the stats they have now. Not going to re-roll, re-assign, etc. It's mostly about the story anyway, right. Gilly & Minnie -- a couple of loveable rascals who are not quite sure if they're partners in crime or something more . . . cuddly.

Looking forward to the story

That makes two of us. Hope I'm up to it this time! Where do you wish to play? Greyhawk, Geoff, Keoland?

Re: OOC Chatter (1)

I've spent time (as a Player and as a GM) in Keoland, so my first instinct is for that neck of the woods. Greyhawk seems too large for 1st level action, but I'm not familiar with Geoff -- there was a Giants set of modules set there, right, and the King of Keoland goes there to help put down some uprising. I recall using that as a rumor in my Saltmarsh game.

So, short story long, I vote for Keoland (but not Saltmarsh -- too many memories!)

I changed my mind, I want heroes in my game! 5d6 drop lowest 2 re-roll 1's

If you want to keep your present rolls for 'feel', that's fine.

I'll go for a re-roll on Minnie's stats -- they are NOT hero material!

Coming soon

Re: OOC Chatter (1)

My mention of the Duchy was just because I was asked, it isn't a serious preference, if anyone has a different choice I am good with it.

Will try to re-roll, but suspect I'll get even worse stats.

Hello -- latecomer here.  And as a latecomer, I wanted to get a sense as to whether there's a class that's noticeably missing and needed before debating myself as to what I should play.

Re: OOC Chatter (1)

On coinage in Keoland:

Keoish coins are named; griffon (pp), lion (gp), eagle (ep),
hawk (sp), and sparrow (cp)

I'm going to run a series of adventures from all over Keoland. You are roaming adventurers so you will roam! ;-) I have over 1,000 Living Greyhawk mods I can adapt to AD&D from 3.x. I'll be rewriting some stuff and try to make some stuff harder. Some easier.

We'll be starting in Cryllor

Hello Annie. I am playing a Cleric/Mage, and have a side character of a straight fighter of a primitive nature.

Re: OOC Chatter (1)

There's not a great deal of subtlety in the Class divisions in the older D&D systems. Minnie's base class is Halfling, which I see as giving her many of the hide and sneak skills inherent in her class, but she sees herself as more of a Ranger than a Thief. She would feel compelled to tweak the Sheriff of Nottingham's nose and steal his tax collection, but she is not about to climb into some burgomeister's house in the dark to pinch his wallet

Whereas that Gillifian Paradax? He's an out-and-out thief!

Re: OOC Chatter (1)

I've been debating my classes a bit, but definitely an elf, and most probably a fighter/mage.
