After lobbing the kobold into the pit Adan answers Astrid, "He said he could count and then admitted he couldn't and wouldn't say any more for fear of 'Grickya', who is, apparently, mean. That's it." He shrugs. "Time to move on. Any luck with the tracking?"

"The kobold we questioned outside also mentioned that Grickya is their leader and she is very powerful. I have to think she is our wounded spellcaster."

Kestrel moves from the pit area to where Ulle is waiting and nods to the other ranger, "Let's see what's behind the pillar."

Kestrel will follow the blood spatters. He will take a wider path (10 feet to the side), as they appear to veer toward the pillar.

Just want to approach the other side of the pillar from a wider angle.

Adan takes to whatever shadows* there are as they try to follow the escaped mage.

Ulle will go around the pillar in the opposite direction, again using his spear as a prod in case of an invisible foe.

Looking for any kind of pit, or trapdoor, Ulle quickly glances towards the sound, spear out on front.

Adan goes round the other way, sword readied.

If Adan emerges behind Grickya thn he tries for a backstab but accidentally kicks a stone but still tries to hack a foe if within reach..

Adan searches the fallen mage, laying the things he finds on one side.

There came a light smacking sound, which was Astrid slapping her brow, and shaking her head.

"Alas for you, sorceress," she said to the corpse of Grickya.    "Every arch-villain deserves a last hurrah more profound than that!"   Still, madly anticlimactic or no, she was glad it was over.

She watched the items emerge one by one, as Adan found and extracted them.    At sight of one, she folded her hands rapturously, and exclaimed "Oh, Deck of Many Things!"   

Then admitted:  "Just kidding..."

Kestrel comes around the pillar on the side opposite to Ulle and Adan in time to see the sorceress send a bolt of magic at the other ranger, and the other elf strike her down from behind.

"Well struck, Adan," Kestrel calls out. While the corpse is being searched, Kestrel looks around the central pillar for any oddities.

Grickya, when searched, has an invisible spell component pouch! A crossbow and 10 bolts, and a half-spear. She has 15gp, 8ep and 6sp on her. This is all easily seen in the glow of the central pillar. It lights up the whole room.

Adan announces what he's found and adds, "Can anyone tell if this crossbow, the bolts or half-spear are magical? Also, I guess we need to find where these kobolds were sleeping and compare the number of beds to the number of dead kobalds. More beds than bodies means we've not fininshed this job!"

"I find it hard to believe that was all of them. We should assume there are more until we have cleared and checked the entire place," the priestess of love said, in a concerned tone.

Adan nods, and then fishes out and adds a load of coins to the ded mage's coinpouch. "Found these on the dead. Yes, let's keep searching."

"Invisible component pouch; how very, very clever," she observed, before they headed out. "Who's in here, I wonder?"  She checked it out, doing a quick inventory...

Which spells does the pouch have components for?

It's a motley pile of components, you can't really say for sure.

"Ugh.  'Bout what you'd expect from some kobold scrapomancer," she shrugged. "Very well.  Let's get on with it."   

Looking around, what options are there for ways to proceed (not already fully explored)?

You continue to search around the mine and tunnels but find no more living kobolds! You find their 'nests' and recover about 200gp worth of the quartz like stones! Gives you a little treasure.
