About the Game

We are going to run a few adventures up to 12 - 14 level, if it lasts that long, using the Rules Cyclopedia. I have not read the rules book cover to cover, but like what I read. I covers a lot of ground. It's a lot like BECMI and AD&D and Basic.

No Resurrection or Reincarnate - dead is dead but you go unconscious at 0 hp and die at -10.

No spell components needed

No demi-human level limits.

No fudged DM dice rolls

About the Game

In reply to Nerull (msg # 1):

Elam N'Tari:
Couple quick questions...

General:
1. Are you allowing the adjustment of scores as listed on p.7 of Rules Cyclopedia?
2. Any other Optional rules in use (Skills, Weapon Mastery, etc.)?
3. Languages - Are you looking simply Common or are there also race specific languages (Suloise, Flan, Oerdian, etc.)?

Magic User Specific:
1. Are magic users Dagger only or are you allowing the optional allowed weapons (staff, blowgun, flaming oil, holy water, net, thrown rock, sling, whip) on p.19?
2. How do you wish to decide starting spells in my spell book?

Race specific languages, Mages can use staff's etc. Skills will be 2nd edition NWP Weapon Mastery yes. Spells, Read magic, and pick them up to your limit.
