Re: OOC: Character Generation

Ramption, the Talent of Pain Resistant that Eins got in character generation isn't going to be useful in the game as we aren't using the special combat Hidden Combination rules.

I'll give you any General Talent in exchange for it. Just let me know when you update your sheet.

I've been switching back and forth in this, landed on keeping the longbow and adjusted the rest accordingly. He seems like the kind of goblin who likes to keep a bit of distance to his foes =D

Re: OOC: Character Generation

In reply to Narrator (msg # 66):

Nor Performance, for healing Wits and Empathy. Or Lore, for that matter. Couldn't really pick them from my backgrounds. Could have gotten Performance, Lore and Manipulation from my childhood, but it didn't really fit with the Gorm I pictured.

I could re-roll as a half-elf Minstrel, if you feel that we are short on support and healing?

Re: OOC: Character Generation

Good point, we should have some healing.  Minstrels can really save the day.  I'll look at my sheet and see if theres anything to swap as well

If you want, you can each swap a skill point to use to buy a new skill.

I might actually go for my alternative character instead, if that's ok? Seems like we are a bit too streamlined in our party's composition when it comes to skills and talents. Think I may have a background that fits better with the rest as well, he is also on the run because of... reasons.

great!  and as these are the forbidden lands, we may still one day meet Gorm paying his respects at the gravestone of a brave minstrel

Hey! I borrowed you that money when I was but a wee half-elf, scraping by before I got conscripted into the army. I'm coming to Runething to collect, just be glad that I ain't demanding interest! ;)

Re: OOC: Character Generation

Could we sum up a character descrption list here? I find it hard to follow exactly.

Harinder
- human male, old. A Druid and a drifter. A hermit. Have recently returned from Far Vivend to the village of Runething. He carries a quaterstaff, wears a dusty cloak, ragged long grey hair and some undefinefed beard.
- relationship: knows someone from Runething who wears the Trident slave brand, like himself.

Is it possible to add more information to "The Cast" tab?  If not, maybe we can add a new subject thread just for this so the info doesn't get buried.

There's the Character Description section for each adventurer, which everyone can see.

I somehow find it more elegant to read it from the top post in a thread. But best would be some info text to the left of whoevers posting. But we cant have everything

Re: OOC: Character Generation

There is the Character Bio section. I think it's player edited, just a couple of lines where you could put Kin, profession and a few small bits of info. Or I can put up a thread for character relationships & bio.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this, I've haven't been on for a bit, but I replaced pain resistant with defender. It works better with my character background anyway.

Re: OOC: Character Generation

Are any characters particularly religious? Does anyone follow the teachings for Rust or Clay for example?

I do my very best to defy the teachings of Rust.  More than once I've sided with Ravens.  It is wise to appease The Nightwalker.

Re: OOC: Character Generation

I honor Wail, for it is on her winds that my songs are carried across the Ravenlands. I honor the Raven, for through the winds we are kin, and we travel far and wide carried by its currents. I honor Flow, for the wine and ale that brings merriment and refreshment to all kin. Where there is merriment, there is music, song and art.

In reply to Caile (msg # 85):

Lothar might be heard from time to time mixing the moon goddess Eor's name with some more colorful language, the kind of which usually gets him into trouble. Other than knowing the names and some of the stories Lothar never cared much for the gods as they sure haven't done much for him.

Re: OOC: Character Generation

Eins was taught as a child to honor the god Huge, but has been away for so long that he's not really religious anymore.
