Posting guidelines

This is an individual game in a multiplayer world. To a greater extent than in many games, it is up to you how often you wish to post. If you don't post, your character doesn't advance. The only time it is likely to be a problem is when you are adventuring with others in a group and holding them up by not posting. So if you can't post regularly, please be aware of your limitations and do not join any groups and hold up other players.

If other players are waiting on you, you will be generally be given no more than three days in which to post. This time-frame will almost always begin with the date of the GM's last post (NOT the most recent post made by another player), unless something is happening which means that you (not the group, not the GM, but YOU and you alone) are waiting on another player for some reason. Failure to post within this window, or to notify the GM and players that you are unable to post for a time, will see the GM take appropriate action - this may be as simple as posting on your behalf in your absence, or may see your character removed from the group entirely and dumped in a location of the GM's choosing.

The other members of your group may also choose to remove you if you are holding up play. If a majority decision is made to kick you from the group, the GM will remove you and put you somewhere you might not like.

You will not be notified before action is taken if you do not post within an expected time-frame. If you continue to miss turns within the group without giving notice, after one week the GM will send you a PM to ask what your intentions are regarding the game. Failure to respond to the PM within a week will cause you to be removed from the game.

The above refers to group adventuring. For purely individual actions, you may generally post as much or as little as you like. However, anyone who doesn't post in game for a full calendar month (ie, the 17th of June to the 17th of July, for example) will be PMed to advise them that they will soon be removed from the game. A week after the PM is sent, you will be removed from the game if the GM hasn't heard from you. (You can, however, take an extended break without risking removal by contacting me ahead of time - see info in the "How the game works" thread.)

IN ALL OF THE ABOVE CASES, MERELY LOGGING IN TO THE GAME IS NOT SUFFICIENT - YOU MUST SUBMIT A REPLY WITHIN THE TIME-FRAMES GIVEN.

IF YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN AN ONGOING GROUP ACTION FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME, YOU MUST NOTIFY THE GM AND/OR OTHER PLAYERS.
