UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2023:  Note that new players are not currently being accepted into the game for entry into the game-world, due to the extremely high chance of new PC mortality in the harsh Lokrenian winter. If you wish to join the game, you may still send an RTJ now and make your character once accepted, but note that you will not be allowed to begin play in the game-world with your character until the temporary closure has expired and the game reopens to new players.

To join, please send me a brief note telling me a little about yourself, including your previous gaming experience, how long you've been gaming on RPoL, and (maybe) your favourite RP system(s). It's as simple as that, but please read the information below and in the other public threads first so you know what to expect when you apply!

I will say here and now that this is a very difficult game, best suited to those who are looking for a intense survival challenge in an extremely hostile environment and who are interested in exploration, problem-solving, and a wide variety of in-game experiences (not all of them necessarily pleasant!). You will lose characters along the way, and should be ready to accept this eventuality.

I also expect everyone playing the game to read and take careful note of the information provided in the other group 0 threads. That information is there to help you and guide you in the game. There is a lot of it, but it does not all need to be read at once, or even before starting play, but you should at least look over it, and then read it more carefully when time permits.

There will be no mercy for the characters of those players who do not take note of the information given there. It is provided in a public place so that everyone may benefit from it. If you do not pay attention to those threads, and you are disadvantaged because of it, that is too bad. "I didn't see that," is not an acceptable excuse. The information is there, and the game will be run in accordance with it. Ignore it at your peril.

If you have any questions about the game or any of the information listed, I will be more than happy to answer them. So if you do not understand something, let me know and I will clarify. Not understanding a point and not asking me to explain it further is also not an acceptable excuse for failure to heed the game data.
