Batri sighs frustratedly, “Again I ask why we chase these long shots when we could just try to find someone who knew her.  Also...”  He turns to Speaks with Ghosts, “You need to be more careful with giving away information.  Let’s walk,  to the ash docks is fine, but we need to discuss something away from here.”

Everyone begins making their way to the ferry that transports people to the ashdocks.

Batri seems more paranoid than usual as he walks with the group.  Whispering conspiratorially, “Well...  we need to be extra aware.  I guess you missed the clues, but that man we were talking to is Beuren’s mentor, the one who is hunting him.  We were doing well till Speaks with Ghosts used your name,  Beuren.  Maybe it wasn’t noticed and we got lucky though I don’t much believe in luck.  So, keep an eye out for people following us.

Speaks With Ghosts seems very paranoid now and keeps looking back the way the party came.  But so often it seems like a nervous tic. Perception check  18:32, Today: Speaks With Ghosts rolled 12 using 1d20+2.

Sorry Beuren.  That was completely my mistake,  I forgot the reason for you staying outside.  Honestly, it felt like we were in there for days.

“So... assuming we find some ghost to speak with that has knowledge of whatever is going on.  What’s the end of this journey?  It has been an enjoyable if damp evening, but there is no money in this nor fame or anything else useful unless the rest of you know something I don’t.”  He claps Speaks with Ghosts on her shoulder, “Don’t worry yourself.  We will be fine.  Worst case we kill an assassin or two.  I’ve had the value of secrets beaten into me for most of my years...  Not as common with those who come from other lands.  Remember, any mistake you aren’t killed for is something you can learn from and use against another.

"Fantastic. Let's go back to the street and ask around about this Hyati person and where they might be found.

The skies open up once more, dumping torrential rain on you as you make your way back to the Last Mistake. Along the way, you begin to notice that Speaks With Wolves is acting increasingly odd. She hovers on every suggestion and idea anyone brings up as if the concept were new, exciting and quite possibly the greatest idea that has ever been voiced. When she isn't lauding the perfection of the last discussion, she is quite literally drifting off to sleep as she walks.

Her condition doesn't improve at all by the time you reach the street out front of the tavern. The downpour continues and it seems that continuing on with Speaks would likely make everything more difficult. Something she wholeheartedly agrees with, although she can't remember where she was staying and leaving her to sleep it off in the tavern is the best idea ever, but not as good as the other idea of taking her with you as you search, or the even better idea of taking her to her childhood home to sleep. You guys are so amazing and brilliant with all of these amazing ideas.

Sitra takes a close look at her as best he can in the rain and determines that she is far more than just drunk, she has definitely taken some sort of drug or has been drugged (Medicine Check Successful).

Batri seems strangely calm at the mention that his companion has been drugged.  Almost as if it has happened before, “I don’t have the money for a healer, do you?  She will probably be fine given time and if not, then we can take her...  Did anyone notice her drink anything?  Or even when she started being so agreeable?  Speaks with Ghosts, what have you had to eat and drink today?”

Alcohol.  Same as the rest of you.

"I am worried about leaving someone drugged alone. Do you think we should pick this up tomorrow?"

“At our place.  Right. Did you have anything at the orgy?” He looks over to Sitra, “Well we have a new mystery now.  Honestly a more interesting one since it involves a friend.”

Of course I had something at the orgy!  I was trying to fit it. 

“Well, thats one mystery solved.  I guess we are lucky you didn’t join in.  So, it will likely wear off in a bit as I doubt they want their participants permanently...engaged.  We should get you somewhere to sleep it off then and take a second lesson from tonight.  Don’t take drinks from strangers.”
