The downpoor immediately flattens Sitra Mor's hair before he has a chance to pull up his hood. He stands at the edge of the crowd and tries to look over the shoulders of those near him to see what the commotion is about. "What is it?" he asks the man next to him.

From the vantage of the crowds edge you're able to see what looks like a crippled woman dragging herself through the mud and rain, she keeps repeating something over and over again, but it's more of a gurgle and choking, wherever she looks the crowd recoils and when she looks your direction you learn why.

Her eyes are each the size of an apple, bulging from their sockets, the rest of her features are similarly grotesque, as if a child found her mothers makeup and it went horribly wrong. Her nude form is covered in twisted tattoos that seem to move of their own accord as she claws her way along, her legs dragging behind her.

"Ava Maihi..."gurgle"...Ava Maihi..."cough

 Batri walks up behind his compatriot, crossing his arms as he looks at the pathetic woman  “You related Sitra?”  The corner of his lip Curls towards a smile before returning to stoicism.  He turns to Speaks with Ghosts, “She seems hurt.  You have anything to help her?”

Do I recognize what she is saying as a language or does it seem a proper noun of some variety?”

It is definitely an Elladani 'Flesh Name', known as a given name to other cultures.

She locks her gaze on Batri as she struggles to hold her head above the muck, a twisted smile threatens to burst her blood flecked lips, muttering something that can't be heard over the rain and crowd. She smiles again before a spasm contorts her body and she lies still.

“I am certain you would find a suitor with that look.  Who is this Ava Mahri...  I’ve never heard of them and I’m sure I have a friend who would be interested in their work.” He smiles, reassuringly?

"Move," Sitra Mor commands as he starts shouldering his way forward. He tries to kneel next to the woman. He starts muttering to himself as he scratches the side of his neck, "[Language unknown: O ce saosfo. Senopo redineter herdi me ureoulrea po M eruler. Der reaatiine ursan ce streveent iou ro p?]"

“Speaks With Ghosts, Beuren  see what you can do for her if anything. Sitra and I will see what we can learn from the crowd.”  Batri stands a bit taller as he looks over the crowd.

OOC:  looking for anyone who seems out of the ordinary (clothes don’t fit in with the others, different race...), anyone who is behaving unlike the others, or anyone who seems particularly interested in what is going on.

Also, would like to take a look at the buildings on the street to see where she may have come from.

Speaks With Ghosts will try to check for vital signs on the woman.  If she is still alive, will attempt to use a Medicine check to determine what the best course of action to help her.  Otherwise she will join the others in attempting to discern where she came from.

Batri leaves the girl and starts looking around the street, he moves past the now restless crowd.

Speaks with Ghosts quickly determines the woman has died and leaves Sitra and Beuren with the corpse to join Batri.

Sitra Mor begins looking over the body for more clues about where she was held. He goes over the bottom of her feet, her fingernails, what kind of damage her knees have as she crawled away.

As the rain continues to pour down and the anxious crowd begins wondering where the district militia are, Beuren and Sitra continue to examine the body.

Sitra Mor stands up and looks at the others in the torrential rain. "She crawled here, wherever she came from."

I looked her over.  Some horrific ritual is what killed her.  Beyond that I just don’t have the knowledge to speculate.  Unless the militia comes, we might want to get the body out of the rain  for now?
