I'm still working on finding a good character sheet I like since I'm not the biggest fan of the default ones here on Rpol. I'll probably have it by tomorrow.

Guessing once you have this sheet up, we can start creating characters.

I'm in Australia; and will generally post between about 5-6 AEST.

In reply to Char 2 (msg # 14):

it always happens, so no worries here. plus the pandemic hasn't helped anything, so no worries. For character creation, I'd stick to the common cultures (Cymric, Saxon, etc.).

As for house rulings, I have two main ones.

1. LGBT+ characters are completely acceptable in setting, as are lady knights. For marriage, just let me know whether your character is going for a lady or a knight.

2. If you decide to play a lady knight, you use the regular stats for a knight instead of the stats for a lady. Also, any  player knights who are ladies can't die in childbirth, seeing as it happens a lot on the base table.

I realize that's a lot,and I'll be pinning those in a house rules thread later. any other questions, feel free to let me know.

Hey guys, I’m here.  We closed on our new house yesterday and I’ve been helping my wife with getting it ready today.  Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have some time to get something down on paper.  I’ve never made a character before but I assume I just follow the charts?

First of all, congrats on the house! Your life always comes first, so no worries.

The directions for character creation are in the core rulebook, it's mostly changes to skills in the Book of Knights and Ladies.

5.2 - the Google folder should have it, but if not I can fix that.

It is your choice for history, though the book of sires often gives more glory than the core book. That said, if you choose to use the rulebook and there's a large glory disparity, I can figure something out for that. rolls should be public, please.

Re: OOC

Book of Sires looks kind of cool for family history, but I won't really have a lot of time to read through it and do the family history using it before next weekend, so unless we're all willing to wait, or be very patient as I try to use it whilst reading instead of reading it first, I'll stick with the core rulebook.

Hi all, I'm a last minute addition to the gang!

I'm new to Pendragon so will also be going strictly from the core rulebook as I figure I can make less mistakes that way!

Re: OOC

So, everything I've read in the rules indicates the game would start in 485; but the sheet seems to be indicate 480 - but all the family history events start in 439. Do we replace the dates on the sheet to more easily match up with the core rulebook?
