Wayne uses coms to contact Sidney, "Hey Sidney, you track down a name? The Turk? One of these army guys blurted it out before the itshay hit the anfay."

Is there someone in the back of the van?

Wayne shook his head, ”Nah, they jumped ship.” He jerked his thumb at the guys in paramilitary gear.

Sidney can't find any specific references to 'The Turk' which might fit though does point out that Hasan is Turkish so might be who they were referring to though she can't be certain.

There's nobody else in the van. As Wayne thought they had all exited and are now eating your dust some way behind. The only remaining contents are two large storage boxes, either fixed to the base or heavy enough not to move around with the general motion of the van, and piles of the kind of litter (fast food containers, empty water bottles, a deck of cards) that gets generated when people spend a lot of time cooped up in a van though a lot of that is gradually exiting the vehicle through the open back doors.

In the glove compartment is a smart manila folder, a well used map of Marrakesh and a spare magazine for a handgun. Presumably the weapon the driver never even got the chance to draw.

Wayne asked Miles, ”Where to? I don’t know which we should head for, so up to you.”

Miles moves up front to a passenger seat. Looks at the map.  “I’m not sure. I was hoping the target would be in here... Well we threw several monkey wrenches into several plans. With nothing to really show for it. And it’ll be really hard to follow Hassan now. Let’s reach out to the other team, and see if they have something. If not, then we either park this thing a few blocks from the hotel and search it for clues. Or circle back and try to watch the shenanigans. Let’s reach out first though. “

Wayne nodded and contacted Sidney, ”Have you heard from team Less Awesome?”

The map itself is a fairly unremarkable map of Morocco with four locations roughly circled in red pen. Two of them you immediately recognize - the mosque you have just left and the Riad Rouge you had tracked Olivia Liu to. The others are new; one appears to be a residential street in one of the more modern areas of the city and the other, in a different colour pen, a bar just outside the Medina.

Checking in with Sidney you update her as to your current situation. However, she hasn't yet heard from Kate and Felix.

OOC: No need to spend a point, nothing on the map requires specific skills to uncover.

Miles fills Sydney in on the current situation. Then looks to Wayne as he drives. Then fills him in on the contents of the map.

 “There’s two additional locations on the map. I would say we go check out the club and see what’s going on there. Probably nothing right now, but the pen is different. Could be their HQ or a secondary rendezvous. “

Wayne nodded, ”Do we ditch the van?”

Miles thinks for a second then just trusts his gut. "I'd say we take it and park it a few blocks from the residence. May need a get away vehicle since, we're undergunned, out manned, and flying by the seat of our pants.  I'll tell you what? When we get out of all of this traffic and the city, pull over.  I'm going to check to see if there's a gps transponder or bug or something.  We can stop them from tracking the location of the van and we may be able to trace the signal back to thier base if there is one."

Miles, still looking at the map will guide Wayne to a good spot.  A bit out of town and kind of secluded so he can work in peace, and also roughly between the two destinations on the map.

To get outside of the town itself would be the better part of an hour drive but you can leave the Medina (the inner walled city) in just a few minutes and find a quiet back street without too much difficulty.

Once parked up a quick sweep of the van doesn't show up any sort of GPS or bug. It appears to be a fairly bog standard van - not especially kitted out or souped up. The crates in the back are largely empty but for a selection of spare magazines, the remains of packaging and foam inlays in which used to sit the automatic weapons that were so recently pointed at you by the van's former owners. It's very obvious this used to hold the gear which they suited up in just before you surprised them. There is, however, no identifying evidence of any sort. Whoever attacked you (or, more accurately, you attacked) are like ghosts.

Wayne felt uneasy. ”Does someone have a spec ops team here? That’s what this seems like to me.”

Miles shrugs. “Who knows bud. This is almost a war zone. It doesn’t need to be special ops with all of the trafficking they have going on within a hundred miles of this place. Guns, drugs, people... you can get anything and without spending too much I’d bet.”

Miles hated to generalize like that but that’s what his specific experience here led him to believe. He shrugged again mostly to himself. “Let’s finish the trip. Once we scout it out, we’ll check in with the other team to make sure they’re ok. There’s a lot of players in town with some big bats. And we came prepared for whiffle ball. And as much as I love Felix, when the shit starts. Kate can only do so much. “ He closes the door and points.

Wayne nodded, ”I agree, it might be best if we head out.” He climbed into the driver’s seat, waited for Miles and then headed as his navigator instructed.

The residential street marked on the map is only a short drive away through streets that are starting to clear as evening sets in. As you approach there is an ominous pall in the air, darkening the already dim sky, and as you come closer you realize it is smoke.

Approaching with ever increasing certainty of what has happened you find the street itself blocked off at either end by emergency vehicles. Further down the road the crew of a small fire engine fights a blaze engulfing an apartment midway down the street. You can't be sure from this distance but if you were betting men you would say that the burning property is the same one ringed on the map...

“I think maybe we should back it up.”

"Good idea.  Lets park a little way down. Maybe we can get closer for a better look.  Or do you think we should just hit the last spot on the map? It's possible that they are striking all of the spots we have here today.  When he says here, he flicks the map.

Wayne had already begun to back up. He answered while looking at the side mirror, ”Honestly, I got a bad feeling about Felix and Kate. I think we should go and make sure they are alright.”

Miles looks at Wayne then sighs "Yeah.  If we don't look out for each other, who will?  Lets go."

He looks at the map and plots a route to get them to their allies last known location

Wayne hit the gas and headed to the hotel where the rest of the team was at this time. The something red? He couldn’t remember.
