Ultimate Rule of Thumb: Don't do anything that'd get you on https://www.reddit.com/r/rpghorrorstories/ I just have no patience for that nonsense.

Here's what I'm looking for: You want tactics, battles, system mastery? Play in a Starfinder or Pathfinder game. I'm not looking for pure hard core role playing where I ask you what your motivation is for using the bathroom, but I want people who put a little more thought into their characters than 'what's the best race/class combo to give me an edge?' because I, like most people I imagine would jump into an Alternity game, are eager to get the most out of this system than the old-school out-of-print equivalent of a Adventurer's League game. (Yes, I'm bias, and might have a few issues to work out. :-P)

I've a few requests.
1. Join only if you feel you make at least a few posts a week and at least have the decency to let me know if you might be absent for a time.
2. Spell check is your friend. I'm not asking that you be English majors just try to type English with reasonable accuracy.
3. Play by Posts take time, a single module will span months, if you foresee a new job or school getting so hectic that you cannot spare a period of about 20 minutes every couple days or so to make a post, you might want to pursue something else.
4. Please, set your gamer ego's aside; I'm not interested in any players that feel the need to gate-keep or be a contrarian, I'm closer to 40 than I am to 30 and frankly, I don't have time for that nonsense.
5. That said, if you are quite familiar with the system, I do not mind input or advice. I haven't touched this game since before 9/11, and I'm slowly re-learning stuff while also trying to run a number of other games. Just make sure that input or advice is provided politely, and without passive aggression, it's been a long time since I've been in high school, don't need that crap either.
