(IC) 2: Search for the Seals

There it is. Now that the badly damaged dragon had shown itself this fight was going to escalate quickly. Looking back at the keening creature at my feet, its wing fluttering as it tried to drag itself away, its fingers scrabbling on the remnants of cobble stones. Pitying the creature, I stamp down hard on the centre of its back to hold it in place and drive me sword through the tough muscle of its wing into the back of its chest and through to its heart and twist the blade sharply. With a last shudder the creature slumps forward and is still.

"Rest now. Perhaps next time you will make better choices." I whisper to the fallen creature along with a quick prayer for the dead before turning and rushing to where Harmony stood nearby and pulled myself up into the saddle and prepared to rejoin the fray.

Turn 04 Summary
Andraste Giltris
Action: Attack prone harpy twice (25 to-hit for 6 slashing damage and 21 to-hit for 11 slashing damage)
Move: Move up to fifteen feet and mount Harmony
Bonus Action: Nil.
Reaction: If a friendly creature within 30 feet is hit by an attack that does 20 or more damage then I will use Rebuke the Violent.

Harmony
Action: Dodge
Move: Move up to 60 ft to get all but Sand within 30 ft.
Bonus Action: Nil
Reaction: Nil

Channel Divinity: Rebuke the Violent
Immediately after an attacker within 30 ft. deals damage with an attack against a creature other than you, you can use your reaction to force the attacker to make a WIS saving throw (DC 16). On failure, the attacker takes radiant damage equal to the damage it just dealt, or half damage on success.

(IC) 2: Search for the Seals

Thorn snapped to her senses just in time to see - but not avoid - the noxious cloud of poison headed straight for her. Coughing violently, she nearly missed the chakram Aisling dropped into her waiting hand. This fight was going about as well as expected. Keeping her eyes on the dragon, she edged around Althaea and Alaric making for the open courtyard on the other side of the undead monstrosity. Perhaps she could move far enough away to avoid its deadly breath.

She could barely rasp out "Prey," a word that seemed absurd in this context. Lungs still burning, she reached for Nature's healing magic. But that is not what answered.

Realizing what was about to occur just a heartbeat too late, Thorn still tried to summon her will in a futile attempt to resist. The Power didn't contemptuously swat her defiance aside, but only because It did not notice such insignificant things.

All reason swept away, Thorn threw back her head and laughed - a musical sound of genuine amusement that rang off the walls of the dilapidated keep. Who did this creature think it was to attack her?

She required no assistance from her companions. Dismissively, she gestured for Aisling to join Sel'zir, who was already obediently stalking their winged quarry, still singing her ineffectual little song. Arrowing towards her, Aisling emitted an ear-splitting cry.

Then with the undivided attention of an apex predator, Thorn studied her victim. Her eyes - their golden flecks glowing disconcertingly - focused unerringly on the weak points exposed by its missing flesh. Still laughing in pure joy at its imminent demise, she unleashed her chakrams, slicing deep into the undead dragon with unnatural accuracy and force.

Thorn holds her action until the dragon is engaged in melee (assuming the dragon doesn't act before that. If so, she will act ASAP).
Movement: Thorn strafes around the dragon, moving as far away as possible while remaining within 60 ft.
Sel'zir dashes 60 ft. toward the uninjured harpy.
Aisling flies 80 ft. toward the uninjured harpy and activates Piercing Screech.
Bonus Action: Favored Foe
Second Bonus Action: Amazonian Battlecry
Action: Thorn attacks the undead dragon.
Primary Weapon Main Attack: 29 (Natural 20)
Damage: 18
Primary Weapon Extra Attack: 17, 17 (Advantage from Battlecry), 26 (Elven Accuracy)
Damage: 12
Reaction (if applicable): Bracer Reflection

Piercing Screech

The stimfay emits an ear-splitting cry directed at one creature of your choice. The target must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or else it takes 1d6 psychic damage and is deafened until the beginning of the stimfay’s next turn.

Favored Foe

This 1st-level feature replaces the Favored Enemy feature and works with the Foe Slayer feature. You gain no benefit from the replaced feature and don't qualify for anything in the game that requires it.

When you hit a creature with an attack roll, you can call on your mystical bond with nature to mark the target as your favored enemy for 1 minute or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell).

The first time on each of your turns that you hit the favored enemy and deal damage to it, including when you mark it, you increase that damage by 1d4.

You can use this feature to mark a favored enemy a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

This feature's extra damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class: to 1d6 at 6th level and to 1d8 at 14th level.

Amazonian Battlecry

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to enter the legendary frenzy of the Amazons by shouting your signature battlecry. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to shout your battlecry and enter a frenzy. Your frenzy lasts for 1 minute and grants you the following benefits. It ends after you take damage—or when you are knocked unconscious.

• You have advantage on attacks against creatures of your favored enemy type.
• You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
• You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened or paralyzed.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Bracer Reflection

Starting at 5th level, you've learned to reflect attacks with your bracers. Whenever you would be hit by an attack, you may use your reaction to shield yourself with your bracers. You gain a +5 bonus to AC against all attacks, including the attack that provoked this reaction, until the beginning of your next turn.

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Re: (IC) 2: Search for the Seals

Combat - Round 4

Gar held his hand up, letting the spell flow through him, and saw immediate results as the dragon's movements looked as if it was underwater.  The frustration could be seen on the dragon's face and with a sneer, it looked around trying to find the source of that frustration.

Thorn rushed to the north of the dragon, loosing her chakrams with deadly accuracy, each of them slicing deeply into the dragon's already mutilated flesh.  The dragon tried to react to the onslaught, but its limbs didn't cooperate.  A look of surprise, followed by realization, hit the dragon and it angrily let out an earth shattering ROAR.

Sel'zir moved into a closer position, while Aisling quickly closed the distance on the other harpy, letting out an ear splitting screech of its own.  The din of battle making it much harder to concentrate.  Though the harpy, through it all, could still be heard singing, seemingly unaffected by the stimfay's cry.

Giltris disposes of the harpy with expert efficiency, it's body twitching once more before it lays forever still.  She jumps up onto Harmony and makes her way towards the thick of battle.

Althaea weaves her hands into an intricate pattern and then rests her hand upon her chest, the healing magic flowing through her.

The five creatures in the center of the battlefield continue to stand around, completely transfixed by the bright colors they saw from Althaea's spell.

The crossbowman to the North, continued his assault down on Althaea, but the bolt went wide, landing with a thunk in the dirt behind her.

The crossbowman to the South, seeing the large spider working its way over and seemingly an easier target, lets loose a bolt that slams into the stone debris in front of it, missing Sel'zir entirely.

The other crossbowman further to the South, shoots at the oncoming Aisling, but the shot was way off landing somewhere in the far distance outside of the keep.

The two enchanted humans with missing flesh, seeing the weakened Althaea, each swing wildly with short swords.  The first, just about to land on Althaea is parried by Alaric, but the second is able to hit, the sword digging into her leg.

The Harpy, frustration on her face as the dragon's poison gas made her song ineffective, leaps off the ruined walls and flies in a beeline towards Aisling, swinging a large bone with flesh still hanging off of it.  The bone doesn't connect and so the switches direction and heads towards the spider now in view.  The claw is able to connect, raking across the hairy flesh of the spider.

Infused blinks in and out of existence, reappearing next to the green dragon, passionately swinging his flaming blade.  The first one connected with a mighty blow that left the exposed flesh of the dragon charred.  The second swing, just manages to break the scale barrier of the dragon, sinking deep enough for the flames to sear the now large would on the creature's back.

The green dragon angrily looks around, trying to find the source of its decelerated movements.  Seeing the Tortle casting a spell while blindfolded and facing a wall nonetheless, and the multitude of random creatures about,  sudden realization hits the dragon.  With a vicious looking sneer, it launches itself up forty feet in the air, (not before the warforged is able to cut deep into its flesh), at an angle in order to catch the myriad of possible familiars of the spellcaster.  Hovering, it lets loose its breath once more, raining down poison gas onto the spider, the mechanical bird, and the owl flittering about.

Sand, just able to clear his head from the harpy's song after the dragon's breath hit him, another similar song tries to wriggle its way in.  However, this time Sand was prepared for the mental onslaught and was able to fight off his would be captor.

Alaric focuses and centers himself, healing magic flowing through him as well.

Dragon is slowed by Gar.
One harpy killed.
Althaea gains "X" HP back from Cure Wounds.
Four skeletons and one enchanted creature still affected by the hypnotic pattern.
Sel'zir takes 4 points of slashing damage.
Assuming that Sel'zir, Aisling, and Lyn don't have enough HP to resist the dragon's breath, they are all down/dead.
Althaea takes 7 points of damage from one of the enchanted humans, the other of which was blocked by Alaric.

Re: (IC) 2: Search for the Seals

The Power continued to rage through Thorn like a torrent – purifying, clarifying – as she tracked her prey’s attack on Sel’zir, Aisling and Lyn. The spider’s agony as she fell, barely clinging to life, echoed through their bond, but even that did not jolt Thorn from her battle trance.

So it wanted to destroy her servants? Very well. A cruel smile bloomed on Thorn’s face, pockmarked by the corrosive poison.

At her signal, Aisling obediently dove at the enormous dragon, not merely harrying, but taunting it. While none but Thorn could understand him, the stimfay somehow managed to make his clicks sound precisely like disapproving tutting.

Raising her weapons to rid herself of this annoyance, Thorn felt a swirl of unfamiliar magic encircle her. The eddy tingled over her skin and suddenly, she viewed the world from a great height.

As well she should.

Fittingly, her chakrams – now two feet of razor-sharp, light-drinking enchanted steel – matched her new, proper stature.

Yes.

The Power within her surged, hungry for the kill. For the soul.

Thorn holds her action until Sand casts Enlarge.
Movement: Thorn moves as far as possible from opponents (particularly the dragon) while remaining within 60 ft.

Infused looked up at the ascending dragon and without thought, leapt up into the air, swinging the sword upward for momentum. As he reached nearly twice his own height, the warforged blinked out of existence and then reappeared beside the dragon. There he attempted to grapple the dragon, wrapping himself up in the thing's wings in hopes of driving it down to the ground where he would then attack with the flaming sword.

Re: (IC) 2: Search for the Seals

The magic of the harpies had made the warforged lose enough time in this fight, as he saw the dragon take flight, Infused at its pursuit. Calculating his options rapidly, he saw that he had no chance to reach the barbarian with a spell that could help. But there was someone else that was showing a fury almost equivalent, and he decided that this frenzy would benefit the most from his action. Taking a mechanical dragonfly from his belt, he sent it flying towards Thorn, the metallic insect starting to grow as it touched the elf, transferring its magic to her.

Clacker kept guard over Sand, ready to strike any undead approaching his master.

Sand

Move if necessary to be within 30 feet of Thorn

Action Cast enlarge on Thorn

Enlarge. The target's size doubles in all dimensions, and its weight is multiplied by eight. This growth increases its size by one category-- from Medium to Large, for example. If there isn't enough room for the target to double its size, the creature or object attains the maximum possible size in the space available. Until the spell ends, the target also has advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws. The target's weapons also grow to match its new size. While these weapons are enlarged, the target's attacks with them deal 1d4 extra damage.

Bonus Action, Clacker attack

Clacker

Move to stay within 5 feet of Sand

Attack the first undead that approaches Sand, 22 to hit, 9 force damage

oday: Sand rolled 25,9 using 1d20+8,1d8+3 with rolls of 17,6.  clacker attack+damage. (rolled with the spell attack (8), not the modifier (5), correct numbers in the description)

Gar felt the severed connection to Lyn, and he grimaces, knowing full well whatever he did now could save lives - his included. He stumbled forward towards the wall slowly, feeling for it, then used it as a reference, he backed away to cover. As he reached the corner he came back in a little, and crouching, he withdrew into his shell, leaving his staff on the ground.

<OOC: Oh damn....lost my eyes!

Movement - To cover as best i can remember

With the dragon retreating once more out of reach I do not have a good means of engaging it. I am sure Thorn and the other will figure some means of dealing it. Wheeling around, Harmony and I charge towards the remaining harpy standing up in the stirrups to lash out with two heavy overhand strikes.

Bonus Action: Nil.

Action: Dodge
Move: Move up to 60 ft to get within 5 ft of the remaining harpy.

(IC) 2: Search for the Seals

With several skeletons around her, Althaea knew she needed to dispose of them quickly. Her appearance suddenly changed, her beauty even more apparent. She then pulled her rapier from its sheath and lunged toward the skeleton to her right. Alaric, also sensing Althaea's urgency, struck out at the skeleton nearest him.

07:20, Today: Althaea Sylvaranth rolled 21 using 2d20+6, dropping the lowest dice only.  Rapier attack.
07:20, Today: Althaea Sylvaranth rolled 25 using 2d20+6, dropping the lowest dice only.  Rapier attack.
07:22, Today: Althaea Sylvaranth rolled 8 using 1d8+3.  Rapier damage. (If 8 damage kills a skeleton, second attack will go to the second one.)
07:22, Today: Althaea Sylvaranth rolled 11 using 1d8+3.  Rapier damage.

Move: none
BA: Mantle of Inspiration: BA grant yourself a wonderous appearance. Choose creatures you can see and can see you within 60ft, up to charisma mod (4) gain 5 temp HP
-spend reaction to move up to their movement speed w/o provoking OA
-while appearance is wonderous, advantage on melee attacks
Item Interaction: Pull rapier
Action: Attack skeleton

Order of priority for 5 THP and movement Thorn, Infused, Giltris, Sand, Alaric. (But I'm not 100% sure who is in range/sight. Gar can't see so he can't benefit from it.)

Re: (IC) 2: Search for the Seals

Combat - Round 5:

The last thing Gar saw through Lyn's eyes was the poisonous gas surrounding and enveloping her, as she choked on the vapors and fell to the ground before disappearing entirely.  Now completely blind, he stumbled towards the wall and retreated into his shell in hopes to keep the slow spell intact.

Giltris charges towards the harpy on Harmony, swinging her blade twice, but only the second was able to find its mark, dealing a vicious blow.

Althaea closes her eyes and for a moment it seems like time stops.  When she opens them again, only a second later, her body shimmers, enhancing her beauty for all to see. She then quickly sinks her blade twice into the zombie off to her right, the second finally taking the creature down, leaving the one in front of her for Alaric to dispose of.

The crossbowman continue to rain down bolts from above, both targeting the now even more lustrous Althaea.  Once again, both bolts aim were true, but the first was swatted to the side by Alaric.

Two bolts from the southern crossbowman targeted Giltris, but both bounce harmlessly off her armor.

The enchanted human, seemingly reluctant but having no choice, swings at Althaea, her sword digging deep in Althaea's side.

The harpy almost hissing in anger, swings with both bone and claw at Giltris, the claw raking across her cheek.  A look of sweet satisfaction appears on the Harpy's face.  Seeing the armor clad hero in front of her, she then flies away, but not before taking a deep gash in between her wings.

Infused leaps straight up, then blinks out of existence, reappearing next to the now very surprised green dragon.  He quickly wraps his arm around one of the dragon's wing, pinning it to his body, while continuing to reach around and grabbing the other.  Then, they both start to plummet to the ground, slamming into the top of the ruined wall beneath them.  The dragon, slower to recover from the fall given Infused's empowering rage, Infused gets up and with his free hand, slams his sword down onto the dragon, leaving another gaping hole in its flesh.

The dragon, now free from the Barbarian's grasp, stands up and stares menacingly at the creature that dared to face him.  Still feeling the inhibiting effects of the slow spell, the dragon twists his neck and tries to sink his teeth into the barbarian, but comes up only with air as they snap inches from Infused's face.

Sand, sends out his dragonfly who gently lands on her arm transferring its power to her.  Suddenly, Thorn grew to twice her size and seemingly her fury as well.  She unleashes her chakrams, now with the accuracy of her elven heritage and the strength of a giantkin.  The chakrams rip into the green dragon's flesh, the last, slicing right through its neck.  The wyrm's neck writhing and twisting as it fell to the ground, dead.

Alaric brings his longsword down on the enchanted human in front of Althaea with two quick blows, bringing it down with ease.

Gar - Blind
Giltris - 11 damage to the Harpy and another 10 damage for an OA.
Althaea - Kills one of the enchanted creature with missing flesh.
Althaea - Takes 6 points of damage from the skeletal crossbowman and another 4 damage from the enchanted human.
Giltris - Takes 9 points of damage from the Harpy.
Infused - Takes 12 falling damage.  (This is already halved for rage damage reduction)
YGD - Takes 24 falling damage.
YGDragon - Takes an additional 21 points of fire damage from Infused.
Thorn - Killed the green dragon.
Alaric - kills enchanted creature.

This time he did not bother with trying to latch onto his target, he instead went for the kill with his flaming sword.

Sand nodded with grim satisfaction to see the dragon brought down by Infused and ripped to shreds by the giant sized chakram of the enlarged huntress. That was a good use of his size modifying dragonfly contraption. The harpy was still in the air and could be a danger, so he took aim and threw his spear twice in quick succession, the weapon magically reappearing in his hand.

(alternatively, if the harpy is dead at his turn, he'll target one of the archers on the walls)

Move to be in range of the harpy / archers.

Double attack, 25 to hit for 7 damage and 16 to hit for 9 damage.

Secong attack at disadvantage 13 to hit for 11 damage.

Bonus action : Double move (80 feet) for Clacker to reach Thorn as soon as possible.

Gar, tucked away in his shell, felt the connection of the slow spell sever - whether from the creatures death or it had finally broken from it's effects, he didn't know, but he knew he couldn't stay there.

Steeling his will, he withdrew himself from the shell, and feeling his staff beside him, grasped it as he stood, listening to the sounds around for some reference of enemies or friends.

Re: (IC) 2: Search for the Seals

As her chakrams sped towards the severely-injured dragon, Thorn glanced dismissively over her other opponents. Unworthy of her attention.

Looking back, she not only saw the massive creature fall, she felt it; the Power inside her sank barbs deep into the spirit freed from its decomposing flesh. Confused and alarmed, the dragon’s soul fought to break free. It sought to resist her? Truly? Thorn laughed joyously at the absurdity of its futile defiance and added her will to the Power’s, wrenching the unseen tether and sending the dragon’s spirit hurtling towards her. Into her.

Too much – the Dragon, the Power! White-hot agony seared through her veins; the pressure breaking her apart. Thorn screamed, back arching and hands convulsively clenching around her chakrams, which cut deep into her fingers.

But the torture lasted only a heartbeat: the Power sank fangs into the spirit, savoring this delicacy, draining the dragon’s essence completely. Then – pleased and temporarily sated – It precipitously and utterly abandoned Thorn.

Her knees buckled; only an iron will and sudden fear of dying allowed her to remain standing. Horrifying to realize that she wouldn’t survive another attack and she hadn’t even cared. And that she had sent a companion with dire wounds to the slaughter.

Trilling in alarm, Aisling began to fly back to her, but Thorn pointed him unsteadily towards the harpy and backed shakily away. Between the faint tremors in her hands, the weapons’ coating of slippery blood and her unwieldy size, she barely managed to throw at all.

Desperately, she reached again for Nature’s magic. This time, it responded. A translucent spirit manifested behind her, taking the form of a stocky elven male with homely features and short-cropped hair. Despite his weapons – a pair of shortswords and a light crossbow – he ignored the conflict, reaching up to rest insubstantial hands on her lower back, sending restorative energy flowing gently into her.

Movement: Thorn moves as far as possible from opponents while remaining within 60 ft.
Aisling helps.
Action: Thorn attacks the harpy. If the harpy dies, she targets a ranged opponent (only if she is within their range) or the enemy nearest her position (otherwise).
Primary Weapon Main Attack: 24
Damage: 13
Primary Weapon Extra Attack: 15
Damage: 15
Bonus Action: Healing Spirit

Reaction (if applicable): Bracer Reflection

Healing Spirit

2nd-level conjuration
Casting Time: 1 bonus action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

You call forth a nature spirit to soothe the wounded. The intangible spirit appears in a space that is a 5-foot cube you can see within range. The spirit looks like a transparent beast or fey (your choice).

Until the spell ends, whenever you or a creature you can see moves into the spirits space for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, you can cause the spirit to restore 1d6 hit points to that creature (no action required). The spirit can’t heal constructs or undead.

As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the Spirit up to 30 feet to a space you can see. The spirit can heal a number of times equal to 1 + your spellcasting ability modifier (minimum of twice). After healing that number of times, the spirit disappears.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the healing increases 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.

Combat Round 6:

Gar stood up out of his shell and tried to sense his surroundings but could only feel the cold stone wall in front of him.

Thorn moves with blinding speed, not allowing the harpy to escape, and sinks her chakrams deep into the Harpy's back, severing one of the wings with a spurt of blood and the other into her spine.  Simultaneously, the wing and harpy fall to the ground in a heap, blood pouring from its wounds.

Meanwhile, Andraste looks around for hidden threats, but doesn't notice anything outside of what is already there.

Althaea, stunned by the previous hits, loses her concentration on her spell, and immediately sees the creatures that were in her grasp regaining their wits.

The skeletons from above, continue to shoot down at Althaea, seeing that their quarry is still alive. Once again, both bolts fire down, their aim true, but Alaric is able to again knock one aside.  The second bolt though, slammed into her shoulder, deep and hitting a bone.

With the half elf out of their view, the two skeletal crossbowman move towards the east along the wall, after seeing some new prey take down the harpy.  They fire two bolts, one of which almost hits, but just flies wide.  The second didn't have the right angle and goes flying off over Thorn's head.

The now free skeletons and zombie'esque creature swarm Harmony and Giltris. Both claw attacks miss Giltris, just making an uncomfortable screeching sound on her armor, but two of the claw attacks on Harmony manage to hit, even with her weaving and moving about.

Infused leaps up and teleports on top of the wall, swinging wildly with his flaming sword.  The first swing harmlessly bounces off the skeletons armor, but the second hits true and cleaves the archer in half, breaking bones with the sheer force of the blow.

Sand moves towards the other skeletal archer to the South, but the archer moved and is now engaged with Thorn, making him just within reach of Sand's weapon.  He was able to land his spear once, but the strain of the far throw made it harder to hit the moving target.

Thorn killed the harpy.
Thorn regains 7 HP.
Althaea takes 5 points of damage.
Infused kills one of the skeletal archers on the southern wall.
Harmony takes 16 points of damage from the two claw attacks.

Re: (IC) 2: Search for the Seals

GAr heard the action all around him, but could not discern friend from foe. Staff in one hand, hand on the wall, he moved forward slowly, his ears a jumble of sound.

In his confusion of battle, he had forgot that they made a pit.

The tortle disapeared from sight, falling into the pit with a thud in the bottom. He lay there, curled up and wondered to himself. How? How can i go on like this? how can i help them when i can't even help myself?

He lay there, the sounds of battle around him

(IC) 2: Search for the Seals

Aisling helps.

(IC) 2: Search for the Seals

It wasn't long before the heroes were able to dispatch the rest of the skeletal creatures about the field, leaving only one of the creatures alive.

One of the zombie'esque female humans who was missing flesh, suddenly blinked her eyes in quick succession, and when she paused long enough for you to see her eyes again, they no longer had the white glaze they once did.  She looked around as if seeing things clearly for the first time and the utter carnage that had taken place all around her.  She looked both horrified and scared, and quickly crumbled to the floor crying.

(IC) 2: Search for the Seals

Expressionless, Thorn glanced down at the sole survivor. Hysterical and undead. Difficult to imagine a more distasteful combination. Still, interesting that her eyes cleared only now rather than after the death of the wyrm or harpies.

"The Blackweather demon was here," she informed the others in a low tone that the human was unlikely to hear over her mewling, "Aisling spotted her flying away after the dragon fell." A fact which lent itself to interesting, if likely premature, speculations.

Then she turned her attention to surveying the area for additional threats, chakrams still out but held casually at her sides.

(IC) 2: Search for the Seals

With the threat over, Sand dropped his concentration on the enlarge spell targeting Thorn, the mechanical dragonfly detaching itself from the hunter and flying back to its creator. It would need recharging before being able to be used again.

"Sand though Sand recognized that demon-woman, but Sand was not sure. The demon flew that way." he said, pointing.

The bio-mechanical artificer went to Gar's help, and, with Clacker's strength, got him out of the pit.

How is friend Gar feeling? Sand can help prepare fire to call Lyn back. Sand has that spell in book of spells.

The wailing woman caught his attention too, but with his frightening appearance, he figured that he was not the most qualified to go help her.

(IC) 2: Search for the Seals

Gar was oblivious to the fact that the battle noises had stopped, so preoccupied with what was happening in his own mind, curled up in the pit. When he heard sounds of something approaching, he tried to look smaller (for a large turtle was very hard)

He recognized the feel of clacker and instantly relaxed. "My metallic friend...is your master around?" seconds later he heard Sand speak and nodded. "Sand....is everyone ok? I assume that you have dispatched the foes."

with their aide, he stood up, getting out of the pit. "I'm afraid i wasn't much use without Lyn. I managed to cast a spell on the dragon that slowed him down, but when it realized, i was blind and could only try keep my focus on the spell."

For the first time, Gar looked truly dejected. "I'm beginning to think me continuing was a mistake - i'm more a determent than a boon at the moment."
