Re: The Guard is watching

Gen, at the truck, noticed that these trucks needed keys.   As this was a secure military compound (where the local militia probably considered the vehicles safe from theft), she checked the ignition for keys.
... and, alternately, as these trucks were such 'old school' tech, she wondered if she could simply hotwire one.

- rolled 20 using 1d20.  Land Vehicles roll to hotwire a truck.
adds a bonus of +7
for a Total of 17 to my Land Vehicles skill.

The Troopers take their shots, one lucky shot plows through the earth wall and hits Hamalek a glancing blow. (2 Shock)

Heroes turn.

Re: The Guard is watching

Hamalek winced as the bullet grazed his off hand. Nothing that would interfere with spellcasting, though. The fact that something blew through an earth wall though was a bit concerning, and spurred him to accelerate his search, especially since Pharaoh Mobius would be here "soon".

"Well, if we need to find out where this device is, I would suspect that the area marked Pilot's Quarters on the map would be the best place to search. Though I'm not sure where there is enough water to support a boat here...Cover me!"

Pierre moved off, sweeping down through the base, his focus on defense meaning that his MM4 fire was largely ineffective. It didn't matter as he was deliberately drawing fire- while no Juggernaut (at least by his standards) -he was tougher than those that he had seen here.

In reply to Pierre De Gaulle (msg # 318):

Jim's rifle snaps to his shoulder almost unconsciously as he follows the group. A distant part of his mind identifies three of the guards firing at them and he fires back, spraying bullets at them to make them keep their heads down.

Re: Ace of Base

Hamalek wondered at the strange stuff he came across. There was no way he was going to understand it all in time, even with his gifted intellect. He needed people who understood this technology stuff. He peeked out and noticed the others trying to distract the guards. Time for another Earth Shield, this one placed so they could get cover as they ran in to help.

"I think I found something useful, but I need to understand it. In here!"

OOC: 00:21, Today: Hamalek rolled 34 using 1d20, rerolling max (((20+14)34)).
Apportation 15 + bonus 10 = 25.

Pierre scanned the map, then groaned. "Merde! Sea. Indonesian Horror sea. Okay, new plan, we steal the seaplane."

Note: Not actually a bullet post.
Also, nice RP Ham.

Pierre laughed at Jim's sally, but nodded seriously himself. "But of course. It must be done! I think myself I have probably the download for her if she is a PBY seaplane. Come, to the seaplane!" Heading out the door, he made for the 'PBY hanger', zapping the occasional shocktrooper along the way.

Damn but French grammar sounds weird when one transliterates it directly.

Re: Ace of Base

The heroes cutting through the Pilot's quarters was apparently not something the Nile troops expected. They are fighting past two earth walls to get to the door you went in as you come out the other side.

This is a free round, no initiative and no combat, but the situation isn't over. You may each put another card into your pool as you state what you do after exiting the Pilot's quarters on the North side.

Also, apologies for the delays ... I thought I'd posted this a week ago and was wondering why no one had reacted
