House History
We seem to have moved past the history of the House, so I'm setting it to:
* Glory: The Founder performed acts of heroism during the Andal Invasion, but everyone tells a different story. Everyone seems to know what he did, but the only thing everyone agrees on is that it was glorious.
* Madness: One Head of House married a Targaryen daughter about a generation before Aegon's Conquest. And the oldest son, and new Head of House, was hit by the family madness. And if Aegon could have two wives, so could he. So he stole a woman of the Hill Tribes, the daughter of a Clan Chief, and made her his second wife. And suddenly everyone hated him. The Church, his first wife's House, his second wife's clan. Everybody. And though some didn't say it, they all wanted his head on a spike. Unfortunately for them, he was a brilliant strategist and despite heavy losses of troops and his lands descending into lawlessness, he still retained control of all of his lands. Until his younger brother sued for peace behind his back and turned his Lord over to the enemy. And they got the head on the spike they desired. And as history is written by the winners, no blemish has ever been placed on the younger brother.
* Glory: A brother of a Head of House saved the life of Jon Arryn showing conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty during Robert's Rebellion where the brother single-handedly slew a number of Targaryen forces who had surrounded his liege and killed the troops that were protecting him.
Which seems to include all the suggestions I could find.
