Events
Favor x2: Founding, Aegon's Conquest
Word of Aegon's ultimatum, submit or be destroyed, reached all of Westeros, including the men of the Mountain.  The people of the Moon Dogs had always been a secretive lot living in the crags of the high peaks.  They'd had a respect for the people of the Dragon as the ties they had to these creatures was similar to the ties that many in the tribe had with the dogs they trained and, even the wolves of the mountains.  They heard the call and responded.  They sent men to support Aegon and his conquest.  They fought well and, upon Aegon's crowning, he raised the leader of the clan to a Lord, granting him the lands they held and even helped them build Cragkeep.

Descent into Ascent: 100 yrs later
The clan/house fell upon hard times.  Sickness, food shortages...some said the spirits were against them.  Others felt it could be outside interference(although there was never any proof). House Sylvayn, a neighboring Andal house, saw an opening and took advantage of it.  The Lord of House Sylvayn knew that even in this downturn, taking Cragkeep would be hard if not impossible, instead, he sought a pact, his houses help for an oath of fealty.  After consulting the gods, he accepted.  The food and healers from House Sylvayn helped the Cragborn regain some of their strength.

Scandal/Revolt
Lord Hrokan Cragborn (the current lord) fell head over heels for Alys Waynwood, daughter of Lady Anya.  She too, fell for him...however, she was betrothed to Ser Willis Wode's brother (unnamed at this point...for game purposes Wallis).  The fact that she chose to break that betrothal and run to the Crags caused a large scandal that has made House Wode if not an enemy, then very close to it.  But, that wasn't the end of the trials...It wasn't more than a few years before the council of elders revolted.  The clan was split. While the Cragborn won, their overall strength was hurt.  The leader of the revolting clansmen, Llugo, escaped with a few men and vowed he'd get his vengeance.

The Cragborn are not in good standing with the Waynwoods, the Wodes, or the revolting clansmen.
