Training Grounds - Day 1 (Brynden)

It was in the afternoon. Brynden was with some of the other squires and some of the troops serving Arrowmark and House Sylvayn under the watchful eye of the Master-At-Arms who were training them in the training yard. The knight Brynden served was out of the castle on whatever business could have taken him, but not his squire, away. But distractions were bad in combat. Even if you were just training.

Training Grounds - Day 1 (Brynden)

Brynden was very frustrated to be left behind to train with the other squires, while his master was off having adventure without him. While sparring the the movement of the training sword was far more aggressive and more careless than normal.

Training Grounds - Day 1 (Brynden)

Ser Ben Stone, the Master-At-Arms at Arrowmark, was a renowned warrior and a more than competent commander. His purple eyes quickly focused on Brynden. "Tighten up Quintaine," Stone commanded. "Don't be sloppy. Sloppy kills."

Brynden's frustration turned towards himself, he was better than this.  "Sorry Ser Stone," he called in response, "wont happen again."
He went back to sparring trying to get his head back into the exercise.

Training Grounds - Day 1 (Brynden)

The training session lasted about two hours. And afterward, people started going their separate ways.

Training Grounds - Day 1 (Brynden)

Byrnden chases after Ser Stone as he marched off the training ground.  "I am sorry for today.  My head was not in it, I will be focused tomorrow."  The young squire sheepishly says as he followed the man.  "I am frustrated to be left behind.  As a squire surely I should be at my masters side.  Do you know where Ser Corwyn is going?"  Brynden asked.

Training Grounds - Day 1 (Brynden)

"Most of the time, you would," Ser Ben said. "And sometimes you and other squires are left with me for training. Frustration will not help you. If your enemy can make you frustrated, they control you. And if they control you, you will lose. Perhaps even your life."

"Normally I would have assumed that they were hunting bandits. But all the Sylvayn men left together and they don't do that to hunt bandits."

Brynden noted the young Lady Sharra Sylvayn leaving the small sept. He had barely seen Lady Alicent Sylvayn since her husband passed away about a month ago.

Sharra called Ser Ben over. "I got to go," he said and touched Brynden supportively on the shoulder. He then headed to her.
