Land Resources

In reply to Orange (msg # 2):

Do we have consensus on this distribution, team? I'm in favor.

Land Resources

Four votes in favor for now. We need six to consider it accepted.

Re: Land Resources

If we have flavor alcohol, we're already doing something with it. We can't eat the cake and have it too.

Looks good, while I would prefer coast (for ships and more trading possibilities) I also like river.

Re: Land Resources

You do know that ships go up rivers all  the time ports can  be built along rivers as well. More colorful saying on the coast  but rivers lead to the coast .

Ha, true... I think I focused too much on the coast.

In reply to Gold (msg # 19):
I agree with the spending reposted above by Gold...
However, I would prefer a river because of the fresh water... I haven’t looked to see if there is any mechanical detriment to not having a fresh water source in your domain, but I did see Cast Away, and Tom Hanks looked really thirsty on his raft. :-)

Re: Land Resources

So if everyone is okay with this:

Mountains :9
Hamlet: 10
River:3
Grassland:1

Give me a quick Yay or Nay

Yay: Gold, Brown, Green, Orange
Nay:

(I added Green and orange though they haven't specified if river or coast)

Orange can't wote as they use their control for the banner house.

In reply to Dragondog (msg # 22):

Just meant to write that. Neither can White and Black. So you need to have five votes for majority because eight are voting. It's gonna simplify stuff for you.

Re: Land Resources

Four is sufficient as Blue has decided to leave the game. And with Purple's vote, we have four so we have:

Mountains :9
Hamlet: 10
River:3
Grassland:1

Re: Land Resources

Now that we know what resources we have, it may be a good time to put our House on the map. We have river and we have grassland. Perhaps we have something near Iron Oaks (Ironoaks, I've seen both spellings) or Heart's Home. Where do you think our lands are?

Re: Land Resources

How about between those two, in the mountains just before the Vale of Arryn?

Re: Land Resources

I don't see any rivers there on the map. I don't know how likely it is that there are rivers that are not on the map. Streams, sure, but rivers?

Ok, how about the River just under Iron Oaks that leads out to the coast?

So in the mountains south of Iron Oaks and east of Bloody Gate, near the river?

What does everyone else think?
