He nods, "We can watch her?  We have a few ways....  I bet I could also call a contact or two, but that would mostly be information from a point in time prior to now."

He walks over to a drawer and pulls out a small black box.  "I don't have any cameras in the museum; outside yes, inside no.  We could place one of the temp cameras for a week.  They last about and week and self-destruct prior to power hitting zero.  No sound on these...."  He hands you a small black box (2 x 3.5 x 3) with a small bubble on one side and stickem on the other.

He smiles and looks to Shadow.

He seems to look up from the table and look at the two of you, "I can get in.  The system, as long as it is OTC, should be easy.  I would recommend that we do maybe three of the disposable cameras; one outside the security office, one the security desk that monitors the cameras, and one outside the employee entrance.  We'll be able to get all staff and then do more research that way.  I have to guess that the bulk of their team is 'renta-cop', so this shouldn't be hard. "

He stands up a little straighter and looks at you.  "As to Dr. Brown, I recommend a simple test.  See how open she is to giving more details about her finds, the museum and about herself.  Being transparent and showing/being concerned can help with decision making.  Especially the questions about herself...this could shake a person that is trying to lie.  Having to be 'thorough and cover all the bases' tends to explain away questions to those that are not hiding something.  It is critical you observe her while questioning.  And if that doesn't work, I know how to waterboard people."  His voice has an amused lilt when he says the last portion.

Mindstrike's mood immediately goes to a dark place, "Don't even joke about such things. This snooping and skullduggery is bad enough as is, and the only reason I'm willing to go along with any of it is because how potentially dangerous this could be."

Mindstrike takes the camera out of her satchel and sets it down, "I'll let you plant this and the others. I have an idea on how to get pics and video inside MSI."

She smiles, "Selfies and reels."

She then says, "I can't be covert, but I can get easy access and make some social media posts and get others to do the same with me."

"I've made very little progress on my 'lab' lately.  It is just a matter of free time.  I did reach out to see if I could find any information about Paragon and the answer has been universally that he is missing and nobody has a clue.  CPD...ATCPE...no mention on blogs...I cannot even guess what happened, but when somebody active disappears...it is not generally self-imposed.  Lastly, we've experienced some odd black outs and brown outs here.  Not sure where it is coming from yet."

"I like going to MSI tonight for the cameras.  I'll talk to Shadow and Shade.  I think it can be done."

Mindstrike moves to the kitchen area and pours water for a cup of tea. She selects a bag of chamomile and sits as she listens.

As she places her tea bag to steep she says, "Paragon's disappearance is odd and unsettling. He seemed to be quite powerful, so anyone that could make him disappear would be a problem."

She asks, "Where are the power failures occurring? Is there any geographic or time frame commonality?"

"The brown outs and black outs have been here.  None last long...they do seem to be hitting the area.  The hotels...the stores up on Wacker and at the Hyatt.  We first were worried about the energy wasps, but it does not seem to last long.  The drain has be inconsistent.  Just does not seem to fit.  I have found that ComEd is checking on it, but they have not made any progress in weeks."

Mindstrike, I apologies for the multiple messages between responses.  However, I do believe I have some pertinent information.  I finished analyzing the thefts, determined the rough information they were looking for and I have a rough idea of where it is.  Likewise, I finished digging into the personnel involved and the suspect nature there.  Unfortunately, that particular avenue is far more challenging and I have only made marginal progress.

Regardless, as before, when you are ready to meet, please let me know.
