There are new policies and procedures all the time, but nothing has changed with the agencies current stance on metas.  The leadership of the CPD and Mayor's Office has not changed.

Like I said, will do some 'normal' life things for a few hours.  Have lunch with family, make calls, etc etc.

After that, I'll work on some of my research/to do list until about an hour before meeting the Detective.

Lunch with his mom and half siblings was always a little stressful and somewhat chaotic affair.  For one, the kids were not even in their teens yet making them little balls of chaotic energy.  And for another, his mom really had no idea what he really did or could do.  Sure, he was 'smart' as far as she knew.  But regular smart.  Not a super genius, secret CEO by any means.  He didn't enjoy keeping things from her but it was for her own safety in the long run.  But they were the only family he had so he made sure to make the effort.

After lunch, he'd headed back to work.  Well, his real work.  Researching, designing and testing tech way beyond the curve.  There was always a never ending list of things to work on thanks to his brain never really stopping, constantly coming up with new ideas or methods to work on.  Dean could easily loose himself for days if he wasn't careful.  It was one reason for the suit and keeping up with his family.  To force a break so to speak.

When his alarm went off, pulling his from the development fugue he was lost in, Dean took a little bit to clean up and get organized.  Finally, he donned the suit and the identity that went with it.  Stepping onto the transport pad and activating the stealth suite, he reappeared moments later on a nearby roof overlooking the cemetery.  There were a couple hours of light left not that it mattered much.  But Knight Wolf made sure to be thorough and check the surrounding area before settling in.  Thanks to the suit, he could continue to fiddle with some design work while he waited...

Well, he said after his shift; meaning afternoon/early evening I'd guess.  So I'll be there 30 or 40 minutes early, cloaked of course.

A note of frustration bugs you a little from lunch, 'the siblings' are failing some subjects in school.

The cemetery is very empty at this time of day.  You scan the area to see fresh flowers, dead flowers, little pinwheels and a few fresh graves.  It is a sad place, even with the colors that are added to make it less so.  On time (per you deduced schedule), a family car with a single occupant pulls into the agreed upon parking space.  Detective Rice exits the car and looks around.

Dean admittedly had a skewed understanding of learning and comprehension.  But...they were in middle school or something.  It wasn't that hard!  Still, he made a mental note to get him mother some good private tutors or additional services to help.  They'd come around; she just needed a little assistance.

Knight Wolf did a little research while he waited.  When the Detective arrived, Knight took a few minutes to scan about and ensure there were no surprises.  Once he was certain, Knight deactivated his cloak as he stepped around a mausoleum.  "Detective," he said politely.

He seemed perturbed...until you stepped out from behind the mausoleum.  Then he jumped.  "Son-of-a...don't do that.  I should have been ready.  Jeeze."

He takes a few breaths, "Seen you in the papers...nice work.  I was surprised to see you with da' woman.  You to working together now?"

Knight gave a nod of recognition.  "I'll make myself more noticeable to you next time," he amended.

"The encounter at the fire was happenstance.  We both responded separately.  But, yes, I suppose we will be working together in the future.  The details are still being worked on I suppose."  He paused, letting the scanners work.  "So what can I do for you detective?"

"Well...I did some checking and digging, and your guy is part of a private security firm out NJ.  Pecheco Security INC. is the name of the company.  They have a few contracts that I was able to find on their site with some various companies in Chicago, including three of the museums.  The funny thing is, when I did a map view of their offices, I got a refinery on the western side of NJ.  Not sure if they rent space...provide security there...just seemed odd."

Inside the suit, Knight frowned.  That seemed more than slightly suspicious.  Opening up a screen, he started a research que for the the security company.  "That is suspicious.  I will do some digging as well.  Did you put any calls into their 'main office', such as it is?," he asked curiously.

"Not yet...don't have much to go on yet and NJ is a little outside of Chicago.  Besides...when I'm asked how I know about this...I'm not sure I should say yet."

"Fair enough.  I shall get on that immediately.  As agreed, for reciprocity purposes, I am quite certain they already got what they were after.  A number of artifacts actually had hidden compartments, previously undiscovered at the time I looked into it, though they were all empty.  I am 93% certain the intent of the robberies was to find and acquire something that would lead to a hidden Nazi facility, lost or 'made lost', hidden on or under an abandoned island back during WWII," he elaborated.  "I can share the data with you if you would like to confirm for yourself," Knight offered.

"Wow.  WW II?  What da hell...this is bigger than me.  I only can work in Chicago."  He sighs, "OK...this is beyond me, but not beyond others.  I can make a phone call...."

"If you have an applicable resource," Knight said, trailing off.  If the man wanted to elaborate, he would.  If not, Knight had other things to do.  Including some new research apparently.  "Please keep me informed if you learn anything.  I will continue my digging as well but, as you said, this is getting larger than anticipated."

"I can do a few inquiries in NJ with some people there.  I have a few names of detectives there.  I could have more information tonight.  As to anything in Europe, I would have to jump through some hoops."

Knight nodded in agreement.  "I have little available as well but I'll do what I can," he said, making some additional notes on his screen.  "Is there anything else I can do for you?  Otherwise, I shall get back to work, adding this new lead to my list."

"No...I don't have anything else.  But we should have a code maybe for when we want to meet here...less obvious then.  Email still works...""

"I suppose that wouldn't be inadvisable," Knight remarked.  "A simple alternating and representative cypher should be easy enough to translate on the fly and recall as needed.  A message, mentioning an associate and some kind of engagement.  The first letter name of the person, minus one letter, will be the letter of the location you need to meet at.  The number of people at the engagement, plus one, will be the counting number of addresses using yellow pages as a guide.  If you insert the word cancel in the message, it means you're compromised.  A second set of names and number of parties could be a location where you need help/retrieval at," he went on, making it up after a moment's notice.

I wasn't sure if you wanted an actual code or just something the char could come up with.  *shrug*

He looks at you oddly as you go on about ciphers, "I was thinking that you setup an simple common email address and ask about dinner."

Blinking inside his suit, not that it could be seen, Knight resisted the urge to sigh.  Sometimes he forgot he didn't think like most people.  "I suppose an elementary cypher might seem simpler but that would be of limited use.  I'm working to establish a more immediate and direct form of secure communication ala a phone signal.  While I intend for it to b secure, I cannot guarantee it won't be compromised.  Hence the need for a more reliable and multi-use cypher able to be used in multiple mediums," he explained patiently.  "I suppose I could also set up several email addresses for the short term, if it would make you feel better."

Looking a little grumpy, "A simple bat-signal is best."

"And also patently ridiculous.  Leaving aside the fact that it only works on a cloudy night, it tells everyone where you are and that you are meeting."  He could think of numerous other reasons why the comic book method was utterly moronic but there wasn't any need to go into it.  "You specifically asked for something more clandestine.  I have no interest in recognition or extra attention such foolishness would bring.  Not to mention how inefficient it is.  Take a little time, match up some spots in the yellow pages to the letters.  It will benefit you in the long run," he said simply.
