Read Me - Heroes & Villains in Chicago

#1 - Carlos 'The Candy Man' Haine

Haine was a low level drug pusher in Chicago until, through unknown means, he gained powers.  He was approximately eight times stronger and fast than the average person, with a strong resistance to chemicals and drugs (e.g. tear gas).  He died in a abandoned mansion in Beverly when crushed by a portion of the ceiling and fixtures in the front hall over 10 years ago.  There were signs of a fight in the mansion, but no evidence lead to additional information.

He is notable as he had assembled a large drug distribution ring from many smaller rings through highly violent methods.

#2 - Joseph 'Joe Public' Pacewicz

Joe, as he was known to most, was a public hero with super strength.  He was well loved in Chicago and is still talked about (he spent a lot of time rescuing people).  He died a few years back on 'Red Monday' (if you ask people in Chicago about 'Red Monday', they will know what you are referring to, but it is regional).

#3 - MacKenzie J. Johnston A.K.A Nixx

Nixx was electrical manipulator, that partnered with Joe.  On 'Red Monday' she did not die, but was hurt badly and has been in a comma since that day.  She is in Rush Medical Center still (her bills have been being paid by a benefactor that wished to remain anonymous).

#4 - Baal

Baal is a super villain, in the form of a massive 'demon'.  Little is know about Baal or where he came from.  He can fly, breath fire and is strong enough to crush concrete with his fists.  He proclaims himself to be a 'demon' but this is widely ignored as bluster.  He has no known associates and seems to enjoy the chaos he creates.  His crimes are always violent and target religions figures and organizations; his motivations are unknown.

#5 - The Predator

The Predator is a street level vigilante, with little regard for whom he damages in the pursuit of justice.  His methods are brutal and have made him the target of multiple gangs and the police.  His rough description is 6'2", muscular, dressed in a hood/cowl with glowing eyes.  He has been reported to throw heavy objects (e.g. sewer covers) with little effort, do a standing tall jump of 40 yards and climb walls.  He is considered highly skilled and highly dangerous.

#6 - Cavalier Blanche

Cavalier Blanche has been called a hero, an angel and the 'Saint of the Streets'.  Although not seen in a few years, she is still talked about by anybody who lives on the streets.  When active, she spent much of her time fighting for people who were living on the street and seemed to have the ability to heal others.  This ability, combined with electrical manipulation, made her very popular and powerful.  A blond women, dressed in white with a winged helm, is where the idea of an angel came from.

#7 - Pain

Pain is a low level thug who seemed to only commit crimes because of his own greed.  He is described as strong, resilient, and having the ability to spit acid from his mouth.  He is heavily tattooed and known to lose his temper easily.  He often worked for others as a mercenary.

#8 - Tank (deceased)

Tank was the monster of a man-machine, that ran afoul of Demolizer when he turned on him.  Demolizer flew Tank into orbit after a battle.  Although Tank lost his life, his actions saved stopped Demolizer from destroying a small Canadian town to get to a buried asteroid (the battle allowed Gladiator to reach the location and took possession of the crash site).  Tank's exact location is known to some, but his size makes it hard to locate him exactly.

#9 - Demolizer

Demolizer has been around for 40 some years and remains a world-threat to this day.  His armor, small army of local servants and robots make him a formidable foe.  He has no permanent location (paranoia making him move often), but seems to have access to huge amounts of money and influence.  His almost insane hatred of Gladiator is well documented and has lead many to speculate that they knew it other somehow.

#10 - Waterweird

Some consider him a eco-terrorist.  Some consider him a hero.  Waterweird is a superhuman that has the ability to control water and some have reported seems to be water.  He has been seen all over the Great Lakes solving disasters and fighting against polution.  His appearance on 'Red Monday' helped to bring that day to an end.

#11 - G Prime

G Prime is a superhuman mercenary of non-terrestrial origin.  This is obvious from his copper skin (which seems to shift in hue quickly and often), 'goat like' irises and seemingly agelessness.  He is sought by INTERPOL and other international agencies, but seems to have help staying out of reach.  He was last seen in the south side of Chicago.  Known Associates - Onslaught (12' robot) and Blitz (android)

#12 - 'Electric Wasps' or 'Energy Wasps"

There seems to be little known about these humanoid creatures, but they have attacked Navy Pier in Chicago twice.  The second time turned deadly.  They are to be considered hostile.  The picture is an art's rendition and does not fully portray the creatures.  There are three confirmed types.  In the last attack, a four-armed verity had appeared.

#13 - Dr. Spencer Ferrand (a.k.a. The Sentinel)

Dr. Ferrand is the vigilantly formerly known as The Sentinel, residing in Chicago.  Now retired, he only works from behind the scenes to help.  When active, he relied on stealth, simple gadgets and weapons, and information to stop crime.  Dr. Ferrand runs a few small hosting and programming companies and a regional parts/distribution chain.
