Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Hello, Machine Man! So, um. Which Machine Man is this? Regular edition or Nextwave? Because I've had some unpleasant experiences involving Nextwave MM and detachable finger tentacles.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Mostly Nextwave, though I doubt I can play him as THAT obnoxious.

As for the finger tentacles, I think I'll just refrain from comment.

The little fleshy, furry thing?

Sure! It's probably smarter than most humans.

In reply to Watcher (msg # 279):

Work is letting up a little so I'll hopefully have a bit more energy to inject. And seems like we're about to fight, so that'll probably help get things rolling again.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Moonie, can you give me a reaction roll to the Wendigo attack?

Thanks!

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Moondragon: After you've removed dice that roll 1s and the dice you want to keep for your total, you keep the effect die that has the most sides, regardless of what it rolled. So if you have a d10 that rolled a 2 and a d8 that rolled an 8, you'd take the d10. (It's technically your choice, but I can't think of any situation where you'd actually want the lower die as your effect die).

Also, 'Dillo and MSDOS both have moves available before your next move. So we'll save your move for now. If the situation changes by the time your turn comes around again, I'll give you the option of keeping what you just posted, or scrapping that and doing something completely different.

'Dillo: I'll give you another day before I post for MSDOS. Then I'll give you 1 more day after that. If you haven't posted by the time I get around to posting on Wednesday (most likely around 8pm central US time), I will cycle the turn, and you will effectively lose your move this turn. (But I will also negate the attack you took as well - it will be as if you're not in the scene).

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Sorry. Moving slow these days.

Armadillo hasn't logged in for over two weeks. That's usually a bad sign. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

In the meantime, I'm going to move us along.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

I'm still around. Hopefully 'Dillo comes back, that player was really giving me a new appreciation for the character.

And if it's any moral support, Watcher, this game has really breathed new life into all these characters for me.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Back at ya!

There are some pending reactions on the table:

MSDOS shot a mental blast at SG: 16 total, d12 effect (mental stress)
Soviet Super Skrull is slicing at USAgent with claws: Total 15, effect d10 phys stress
Allpha Flight Skrull is doing a Puck roll through the big melee. Total: 18, Effect d10 to Moondragon, d8 to Iceman, d6 to Machine Man physical stress
The skrull mob is fighting back against SG's squirrel mob Total =15, effects: d8, d8, d6, d4, d4 physical stress; 1 opportunity

Everyone but Armadillo has actions.

Should we switch to calling out who's next? We're already going slow. Maybe that will speed things up?

If so, I call on Squirrel Girl (and I can ping her on Discord if she's slow).

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

I'm catching up with IRL things -- sorry it's taking me a while. I intend to get back to this. I like the open-ended action resolution but I admit that the game can go quicker if there is accountability for taking turns. Once it's my turn, you can count on me. If it's still open-ended, then I'll hesitate since I don't know for sure if it's open-ended.
