Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

I love it, and I am fully ready! Just gotta remember where I left my MHR text template and snag Doreen's datafile from the book, and it'll be smooth gliding from there!

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

If armadillo sticks with a single powerset, he can take the versatile sfx on it.

Hair trigger anger seems to me like it should be something related to emotional stress. Like step up emotional stress for 1pp or something like that

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Also, don't forget to step up Antonio's Affiliations! He's a Hero now, not a Watcher Character. :D

I'm probably gonna delete my datafile and repost it once the name change goes through. I kinda jumped the gun. :P

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Watcher, would you be okay with me putting in Conan's bio that he made his way to Mount Wundagore seeking some treasure or other, where he encountered Bova and the New Men? I don't know how you're planning on getting us together, but figure that'd be an easy route for me.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Prelim sheet in my description. I’ll post to the proper thread after the name change.

Not sure what power Versatile should apply to. Given the nature of his powers, it should be Durability, but that just seems wrong. Any advice, Watcher?

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

I was thinking versatile could apply to any power in the set. The right one would depend on the narrative.

The reason for the house rule is to help even out the power differential from having two power sets.

I might need help with a Moondragon file. I can’t find any so far.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

If you have Annihilation, she's on page 204 and 205. If not, I can copy her for you. Or maybe screenshot, since it's a lot of text.

Oooo! Yes, please! A screen shot should work. I don’t have the MHR Supplements, is the Annihilation book on pdf?

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

It is! But it isn't sold anymore, so anyplace you find it is probably not legit. Anyhoo, here's Moondragon: https://drive.google.com/file/...524/view?usp=sharing

Uh, ignore the watermark at the bottom. That isn't there. You saw nothing.

MHR never made a sheet for Sepulchre, did they?

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

I looked up Armadillo's official file. Here's what his limit is there. That's for a Watcher character.

Limit: Hair-Trigger Temper. Step up emotional stress from
opponents hurling insults or mocking to step up the
lowest die in the doom pool or add a d6 doom die.

The conversion for a player character is to change that doom pool stuff to pp:

Limit: Hair-Trigger Temper. Step up emotional stress from
opponents hurling insults or mocking to gain 1PP.

Fun fact: Speedball and Bova both made their first appearance (in unrelated stories) in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #22 (1988)!

WOW! Her write up is so concise compared with Moondragon!

Thanks for the links, you two!

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Sepulchre and Squirrel Girl are both statted up as Watcher Characters rather than Heroes, so they're much more condensed. Still good, though!

Hey Watcher, I might need some help adjusting my Squirrely SFX to match a Hero datafile.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

I fixed them for you SG.

I WIN is troublesome. It looks like a typo first of all: it should be 2d12 from the Don pool. And there's really not an equivalent ability for PC's.

Maybe replace it with Second Wind? That would let you cancel out stress, which is pretty handy. Or the sfx that lets you step down a sure in the Doom pool. That helps you control the situation.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Aw. I was really hoping to keep that ability and just maybe fix it so it doesn't wreck things. And I don't think it was a typo, as it's originally for a Watcher character: it lets her spend 2d10 out of the Doom Pool instead of the usual 2d12, and it makes her win instead of things ending more in favor of the villains (which is the likely outcome if something's gone on long enough to rack up 2d12).

I'd been hoping to maybe shift it to stepping up 2d10 to 2d12 or such. Something costly that also requires a lot of build up, preferably to be used at some point where the Doom Pool would be automatically stepped down anyway, or towards the end of a finale.

I think I got Armadillo's where I want it for now (I can add the fluff later, I'm just talking writeup.)

Someone wanna take a look?

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Armadillo looked good.

Two suggestions: you can take versatile sfx on your one powerset.
See if you can dial up the 10 xp step in your second milestone. Those are supposed to be moments of major character development.

Re: The Sidekick Lounge (OOC)

Conan, the background with Bova and wondagore is fine. Maybe you traveled to a parallel mountain in cimmeria, and stumbled upon a portal that put you in this continuity.

As for me using Bova, I'm thinking I'm going to delay that. My plot idea that was going to use her seems a bit too serious on second glance.

We DO need to figure out how you all got together. I was going to start a one off action scene today that I was thinking of as more of a warm up to remind us system veterans how it goes and introduce it to the newbies. Maybe I can make that scene do double duty...
