Re: OOC:  For OOC chat, questions and comments
Alas, I'm really sorry to hear that. 'Twas good playing with your scrappy little roughneck, occasional mild insubordination and all. May you find time and a game that gets you well-fired up.

As for the safety of Airlock A, the characters don't know that - unless some improved scan from Cham's equipment readings or something gives new information, the objections stay the same and heading down to C (where we will, of course, be immediately eaten) looks most efficient. Perhaps having more people in the effort would count as a change of situation and/or help? I mean, it might take a moment to get Miller to let go of the umbilical in any way, given they know they almost went straight out into the black there...

There's something particularly upsetting about the idea of being lost in interstellar space: a thing that did breathe and walk on soil or concrete or metal walkways, very much existing, bodily gone from all sight of life...anyway, reassurance in a few seconds, once Miller can stop whimpering.

Sorry to hear that Rye, oh well, it was nice having 5.

Question: Since the communication is on a open channel, if one is not on the bridge, do you still hear it in other parts of the ship?

In reply to Wilson (msg # 119):

I would say no.  There are intercoms sprinkled throughout the ship for that kind of communication.

(Not overplaying the "rocking in place" thing, IC, but yeah, that too. )

Re: OOC:  For OOC chat, questions and comments
Miller is sorry for that...I'll try to get a post in to move things along more clearly tonight if MUTHUR doesn't want to do that with Rye/Wilson doesn't want to throw in suggestions. Chronic medical issues just giving me too much pain to brain through right now.

If Miller is going to try for the C-deck airlock, by all means.
Please make another Mobility roll to get over there.
And an Air Supply roll while you're at it.

Re: OOC:  For OOC chat, questions and comments
Will having safety backup add any +s to the roll, since that's what's changing the situation enough to allow it? In fact, do either Rye or Cham have a decent Mobility score?

Also, sorry I didn't get back here last night; whoever has my voodoo doll must've hammered a nail right through its head, left eyesocket first, and in the 20 pre-migraine minutes or so that I was mobile with semi-working vision I managed to chip a tooth. I gave up and went to bed at that point. Some days you just roll fumbles.

Re: OOC:  For OOC chat, questions and comments
In reply to Miller (msg # 124):

I would say no as it's still someone moving on their own and zero-G can be tricky.

However, I would allow a group roll (a la Mobility for the purposes of stealth) because then it's generally the best-qualified person taking the lead.  Step as I step, move as I move, sort of thing.

That actually reminds me.  Can everyone see their own character sheets and can they view anyone else's?  There isn't anything top TOP secret on them.  I'm just curious.

Also, I'll NPC Rye for now.  I haven't decided if I'll try to get another person or not, just yet.

We do have a line...but thanks, at least that's company if we fall off the universe.

Everything where it should be, chief - character sheets & scratchpads are always private. Does Rye have any Mobility?

Sorry, I'm a teeny bit lost as to where Cham is in relation to the action and what we need to do?

Re: OOC:  For OOC chat, questions and comments
Cham's currently inside, waiting for Rye to join him.

When she does, the two of them will come down and out of the umbillical, unhook the line from where it's caught, get Miller down from said umbillical and walk to the Chronos' C-Airlock (which will hopefully be fine). We will use whoever has the highest Movement's dice to do this.

...and I will laugh a lot if that's Miller.

It's a good thing the Company doesn't give us free gum, considering we have to walk as well (joking, but...silly dice so far).

Re: OOC:  For OOC chat, questions and comments
Slightly confused now...since she's best qualified and you ruled it a group roll done by her, do we need to roll anything? I see she (we) got a sucess, so I'll go put some narration on that and get us down to the airlock.

Cham, may be another airlock-opening roll upcoming for you. Sorry about the delay, ship crew, I'm sure you can listen to us getting horribly dissolved by stray experiments in just a moment.

Sorry for the delay guys.  I've had a bunch of stuff crop up.  Minor medical issue, minor surgery next week and a potential exposure to Covid for good measure.  I'm going to take a week off and I'll be back with a post towards the end of next week.

Again, sorry for the delay.  I appreciate your continued enthusiasm for this game.

Any update to this, it's been a few weeks.

Oh, and for people who want to play this in RL, they finally released the starter set complete with this adventure, maps, rules, and 2 full sets of special dice.
