Sorry for the delay! Updating today.

FYI: Saturday through Tuesday I'll be driving my daughter to college or driving back. I actually expect to have time to post, particularly Monday-Tuesday when I normally would, but if I disappear for a day or two, don't be alarmed.

Thanks! So far so good--posting from my car, courtesy of my daughter driving, mobile wi-fi and unlimited data plans. Life is pretty good :-)

No problem. Hope you roll less well in the attack than you did in defense :-)

Re: OOC - Discussion

Two questions:

1. If I gain Momentum, I will lose one right afterward thanks to the end of a turn, correct?

2. If I succeed in defending, do I still get benefit of Thinks Fast on His Feet when the fellow had 0 successes? It is technically a successful defense.

Re: OOC - Discussion

Yes as I understand it from the rules you always have the option to role even in situations where success is practically guaranteed (difficulty 0).  The only risk is rolling a 20 and having to deal with a complication.

On Tuesday, I will move home. I'm not sure about the internet connection and how long it will take to get it.
Please be patient :)

Re: OOC - Discussion

Been very busy this week, otherwise I would have prodded you earlier for your Turn 5 attack Demetrius.  Gave instructions in your last post about Momentum carry over and to attack when ready.  I suspect it was confusing as I didn't post a transition like I normally do but Nantas had already made his attack so just rolled with it.

In fact, going to post Patterson's actions now....

Re: OOC - Discussion

My wife and I are travelling to Maine starting tomorrow for a week. I hope to have an opportunity to post during that time, for this game I think I'll be able to manage posting from my phone.  BUT...it will likely not be every day.

I'll try to have Turn 6 started tonight.

Re: OOC - Discussion

Sorry, it would have been better if I'd stuck to that scheduled but I made the mistake of not posting first thing in the morning Saturday and started fixing a sprinkler line instead.  Then one honey-do lead to another and I'm still soar from all the yard work.

Presuming it's my turn to act again, who seems to Demetrius to be in worse shape--Nantas or Patterson?

Re: OOC - Discussion

Both are relatively untouched.

Patterson has taken all of 2 Stress.

I'm not sure if Nantas has been hit at all; haven't kept track for him.

Re: OOC - Discussion

So seems like we're all pretty comfortable with combat.  I think the opposed rolls work as long as we're prompt posting the resolutions (myself included).

I am going to reduce the Menace rating of all the creatures by 1 (at least).   Just taking too long to burn through Stress tracks in PbP

Any other thoughts or changes anyone would like to suggest?

Re: OOC - Discussion

I really love that the fights are taking a while, so don't feel the need to make them less challenging yet :-)

You can reduce the complexity for you by not having NPCs fighting with us in the future.

Busy day today, wasn't expecting a substantial post, so I'll be back tomorrow to post at more length.

Re: OOC - Discussion

The ruleset is way too crunchy for me and I wouldn't run a game with this ruleset as a GM.
However, as a player, I'm OK to try it for a bit longer (also outside fights) before finally making up my mind on the topic. :)
