Can you please confirm what I should roll? 2d20 or 5 times 2d20 or... something else?

This is kind of like the fight you had on the giant wagon.  You're just facing off against a group of minions by yourself instead of together.

You always start with 2d20.

You can add more dice (up to a max of 3 more) by using a combination of Talents,  Momentum, or adding Threat to my pool.

Your Talents will tell you if they give you an extra d20 in this situation.

If you have Momentum saved up you can purchase a d20 for 1 Momentum each.

If you choose to add Threat to my pool then it's also a d20 for each point of Threat.  I'll spend it in pretty much the same way you spend Momentum but I probably don't have quite as many options for minions.

I haven't spent any Threat at all this whole game as I didn't realize I should have started with some in my pool.  It's not a big deal but kind of explains why some things have been so easy for you both.  Don't worry, I'm not going to just overwhelm you with it here either.

Refresh my memory: why are we so worried about Patterson? Apart from him being an Earther like Demetrius?

You spent weeks fighting alongside Patterson, he was a companion in the pits of the Warhoon.  Ideally he should have grown to become a close friend to everyone in your group except Ducet Cog who joined later.

Granted after a couple months of PbP it's hard to remember the guy...

Additionally, you were all chosen by this strange woman but not sent as expediently as Patterson.  You may recall that Aeryn told you before that more and more people from Earth were appearing on Barsoom and there were signs they were being exploited.  This may be a way to learn why or who is exploiting them.

Eh and this is kind of part of the adventure so ideally find a reason for your character to care :)

Do we have any idea how he figured out Demetrius' is Jasoomian? Or do I need to roll to figure that out?

From the comment, it sounds like he realised that the mighty jumps gave him away. However, this means that the slaver saw similar jumps (by a Jasoomian) in the past. Maybe recent past.

How would he have seen them, though? We fought guards by the front gate, but we are a good ways away from the gate. Demetrius looks like a Red Martian right now.

We can only guess, at this point in time.

Want an answer from the GM :-)

Why do you think he needed to see you?

Other than directly watching, what other ways might a man like this in a business like this have learned about the spectacle at the gate?
