"Of course," Candice said.

"Then let's do it" Eliza said and transformed to her magic girl form emerging from the light clad in armour and bearing a large sword and shield.

Candice did the same, appearing in her ragged looking punk outfit holding two explosive devices that looks like cheeries.

"Ready when you are," she said.

"Guess we better start looking around" Eliza suggested "If we spot anything we can do the usual, I'll pin them down, you blow them up"

There was a small forest in the area, which was certainly a first for you. Seeing it in the flesh, so to speak.

"Wow, that's a lot of trees" Eliza said, taking in the sight "Not something we get to see everyday" she then gave a small smile "Wanna have a closer look, it's not really out of our war after all"

"Sure, but let's not let our guard down. There might be monsters in there," Candice said.

"When am I anything but careful" Eliza askss she moves towards the forest "Never thought plants could get so big" she commented as they closed the distance.

You can hear some birds squawking.

"Think something is disturbing the birds?" Eliza said softly as she veered in that direction "Sounds like it's worth a close look"

As you get closer, you see that there are several large blackbirds in the branches of the trees.

"So I'm no expert Candice.. But I'm fairly sure that's not normal" Eliza said pointing her sword at the oversized crows "Think you might want to get some of your bombs ready"

"No escape, no escape," the birds squawked, getting a good look at them, you can see that parts of their bodies seem to be melting.

Candice was ready.

Eliza raised her shield and readied her sword "Bring it birdies"

The birds took to the air, but you were faster.

Eliza charges forward shield held high, then leaps towards on of the crow monsters slashing at it with her blade.

The bird barley got out of the way of your sword, There was the sound of a loud explosion.

"I got two of them!" Candice said.

The birds swooped down to attack.

Candice let out a cry as one of them manage to draw some blood.

"I'm okay, it's not very deep!" Candice said.

Eliza raises her shield above her head and drops to her knee taking the on coming strike on the shield.

Eliza attacks again punching first with the shield then following up wit a quick slash with the sword "Best you got you birdbrained... Bird!"

The bird dodge out of the way of your sword, just as one of Candice's bombs went wide. The two birds kept attacking her as one swooped down on you again.

(OOC: 7 this time)

"Leave her alone" Eliza yells as she lunges up at the bird.

The bird was sliced cleanly in two before fading away into purple dust. Candice missed with another bombs as the remaining birds attacked. One manage to inflict a minor wound to Candice.

Eliza charged towards Candice "I said leave her alone" she yelled as she slashed at another Bird.

You killed the bird as Candice blew up one with one of her smaller bombs. Things were silent again.

"Well that didn't exactly go to plan" Eliza said as the last bird vanished "But we did it!" she said as she walked over to Candice.

"Let's have a look at those injuries, and see if I can fix you up"

Candice held out her left arm, there was also one on her right shoulder. They didn't look too bad at all.

Eliza places her hand just above Candice's arm and focuses for a moment, the arm is bathed in a soft light for a moment and then she draws the hand back "There we go"

The wounds closed up.

"Wow, that was intense," Candice said.

"It was more than I was expecting for sure" Eliza agreed "Sorry I wasn't quick enough to stop them getting to you"

"Hey, it's fine. I guess the shield helps," Candice said.

Eliza nods and her smile returns "It does help for sure" she hoisting the shield and patting it "Let's take a quick breather then we'd better get back to looking around, in case there are any other critters about"

"How are you feeling?" Candice asked as she sat down and leaned against a tree,

"I'm not sure" Eliza said as she sat nearby idly playing with e straps of her shield. "I'm excited we won" she said without looking up "Determined to do it again, and kick the ass of any monster or Dark Magic Girl we come across. But a bit worried, these were small fry right? Makes me wonder what the next one might be like"

She looked up and grinned "But even so, that was pretty awesome right? We're not newbies anymore, right?"

"yep, we're official ones now," Candice said with a grin. "Some day we're gonna have all the merchandise!"

"Totally, we'll be the ones people want autographs from" Eliza agreed "I suppose we had better get back to it" she said with a sigh, as she stood up.

"I didn't hear the all clear yet. Maybe we should keep looking," Candice said.

"Then let's get to it" Eliza said as she readied her gear and resumed the search.

You can hear crashing far off in the distance getting closer and closer.

"Sounds like something is coming this way" Eliza said looking about quickly "Let's try hiding over there, if it's a monster we might be able to get the drop on it"

A large beast that looked like a deer with massive antlers came crashing through the trees. It looked at where you were hiding, snorted a few times and began to dragon it's front hoof on the ground.

(OOC: Initiative time)

"I think it sees us" Eliza said falling into her fighting stance.

"Just the one this time". Eliza said "Let's see how it likes a shield to the face" she added and charged forward her shoulder tucked into the shield to maximize impact.

Candice managed to catch the monster in a bomb, but it powered forward, coming for you.

Eliza took the blow on the shield then deflected the creature away from her yelling "That the best you got?"



She the launches a counter attack feinting a quick slash up, before flowing into a low arch at the creatures legs.

Candice threw one of her larger bombs at the thing, which blew it into chunks that rapidly dusted away. She then fell to her knees.

"Oh man, that was so much worse," she said.

Eliza walks over to Candice and offers her hand "That was a Heck of a lot bigger, but we beat it down pretty well I thought"

"Yeah, but it was worse than the birds," Candice said.

"You going to be Okay?" Eliza asked worriedly

"Just feeling kinda tired," Candice said.

"Yeah, we're getting quite the work out. Why don't you take a breather. I can stand guard" Eliza suggested

"Sounds good," Candice said and closes her eyes.

Eliza watches the surroundings while keeping a half eye on Candice.

After a couple of quiet moments, the all clear bells sounded.

"Looks like it's over" Eliza said as she assumed her normal form and sat nearby "You know without monsters, it's pretty nice here" she mused to herself.

"Yeah, but that monster ruined a part of it," Candice said.

Eliza looked towards the path of destruction that the beast had caused "Yeah, it did. But we stopped it before it got too bad. And plants are pretty resilient they'll grow back."

"What a day though, I still can't believe this is real," Candice said.

"It's different" Eliza agreed "They try to prepare us, but knowing about it and experiencing it are two very different things" she looked down at her hand "Knowing that we can be hurt and seeing it for example"

"I wasn't hurt badly or anything!" Candice said. "It looked worst than it really was."

Eliza waved her hand in apology "Sorry, just brought it home" she lapsed into silence for a moment then stood up abruptly "Anyway this gloomy stuff isn't like us. We're go getters and doers, right?" she said "We did awesome and should be proud of it"

"Yeah, hey, want to see if we can meet up with the Star Guardiands?" Candice asked.

Eliza nods "Oooh great idea"

As you made it back to the doors, you could see three other female forms approaching. After a bit of waiting it was clearly the Star Guardians. No other magical girls had so complex of costumes, and all three were tall, elegant and beautiful. First was Star Twinkle, whose purple costume with gold highlights went well with her dark skin and long black hair, to her right was Star Glimmer who was the palest of the three, but had a deep red costume with silver highlights and curly green hair, lastly there was Star Shimmer, who had a yellow costume with bronze trim and wavy red hair.

"It's really them" Eliza said in an excited whisper to Candice "They look even cooler in real life..." she added as she watched the Star Guardians approach.

Once they got closer she waved and called out "Umm hi.. We're the new magic girls that were assigned here. I'm Eliza and this is Candice"

Candice had stars in her eyes too.

"Nice to meet you," Star Twinkle said. "I hope things went well for you."

Glimmer and Shimmer smiled and waved politely.

Eliza gentle nudged Candice in the ribs "Things went well for us, thanks asking" she replied "Just some small fry monsters"

"What about you?" she asked eagerly, glad for an excuse to extend the conversation.

"Oh, well, we had this really weird and creepy monster," Star Glimmer said.

"Yeah, it was like a big blob of pink skin and flesh," Star Shimmer said.

You can see Candice's else bug out for a second, before recovering.

"W-we're both really big fans," she said.

"We could get you both tickets to our next show this weekend," Star Twilight said.

"Really?" Eliza said grinning "That would be awesome, right?" she replied turning to Candice.

"Yeah, that'd be amazing!" Candice said, super excited.

"We'll fine you in school tomorrow and give you them then," Star Glimmer said.

"Thanks a bunch" Eliza said the grin still on her face.

"No worries," Star Shimmer said.

"Guess we'd better get the tram to school, then head home" Eliza said to Candice unsuccessfully trying to appear business like and not like a starstruck teenager.

"We'll head back with you. After all, we're neighbours now," Star Glimmer said.

"Really?" Eliza voice squeaked in surprise and the visably gained control of herself "I mean sure.. That makes sense" she finished glancing at Candice to she how she was taking the news.
