The year is 529. The years are not counted from the creation of the Island, but from the Event. History has been mostly lost, hidden away to the very few who survived. All that is known is the Dwarves and the Elves were against each other, and then a great Disaster claimed the lives of over 95% of the population. The elves and the dwarves went into isolation, having rumored to have returned to their keeps, and the Island was left in Ruin.

 Then came the humans. Like rabbits, they re-populated the island. Taking over long forgotten towns, they started a new life. In the Dalas fields, farmers and herdsmen took over the flat valleys, to the East the Forest was harvested for it's natural resources, and the furs of native animals. The Swamp sits in between, a terrain hard to traverse, but a great resource of rare fungi and rare creatures. In the center sits a large pit, miles in length and over 50 feet deep. And the Lost City, viewed as the Capital of the humans, sits just South of the Pit.

In the past 50 years, sailing has been re-established, with Ports popping all along the East annd South side of the Island.
