Just to say I am still here.  Got loads of work to clear up over the next to day but:-

We have two bank holidays this year together.  So I have 4 days off.

Looking at all people that live in republics and laughing.  Long live the monarch !!!

I'm nearly finished my camping trip - be home tomorrow. We in the UK may be a small island but we don't have near enough mobile phone signal coverage for my liking!!

Also, happy jubilee everyone that it applies to. Enjoy the days off.

Moment of stupidity.

To busy trying to work out what colchester was called in the game and forgot it does not have port or major river.  Think I spent to much time at home working because of covid.

I update my post to fit with what GM rightly pointed out.

Update.  Seems it did have port connected to the sea in pre / roman times but it not the closes by many miles to where the group is.  So we stick with the GM suggestions.

Sorry guys - safeguarding issues at work have taken my total focus for the last few weeks, all of my energy and I've been coming home exhausted and not wanting to even open my laptop let alone write anything. My only release has been playing Elite Dangerous on the Xbox where I focused entirely on the monotony of playing a space trucker, then a passenger liner, flying the Robigo Mines to Sirius Atmospherics route to even a few million credits.

Most of the time I'd arrange for a load of passengers, launch, jump a few systems... Then wake up having slept for an hour or so only to find myself so far outside of the solar system I was in that I had to jump to another system and back again in order to land and cash in on my passengers.

Still, I played it last night and for the first time in I don't know how long I didn't sleep and I actually managed more than just a handful of mindless jumps before I decided to switch to a combat fighter and go stir up some trouble.

Over the next 4 weeks I'm on holiday. First to France with no WiFi (except when we're out and about in the cities or where I get decent signal) then off on honeymoon to Vegas where there will be signal - but I'll be on honeymoon so not sure how much time I'll have to update.

Not that I think anyone would notice as we've adopted a slowish game anyway, but thought I'd keep you all updated and in the loop.

We had the little ones before we got married (she had 2 from a previous marriage, I had 1 from a different relationship, and we have our 4th in together), and it's 9 months since we were married so that's how much influence the kids hold over our lives!! Had a night to ourselves immediately after our wedding and have had to wait 9months for the honeymoon...

It's all good though.

I'm finally back... Go Me.

Just had a long drive 8.30am start, finished 12.30am the following day with only a 2hour break at the Euro Tunnel waiting for a train... So 14hours on the road of which I did 10hours.

Needless to say I'm a tad tired tonight despite sleeping pretty much all day today but it was so worth extending the holiday in France by a few days.

Sorry guys and girls, guess you've been expecting this.. real life has swamped me and I've not been in any fit state of mind to focus on anything but sorting myself out. And I've not done a very good job of that.

It's funny but I'd hoped my holiday away would mean I'd be rested and better equipped to cope when I returned, but it's been worse than ever.

I'll put this game on hiatus for now and look in on you all when I'm in a better place.
