Pig Riders of Ruin

It is past Midnight in the desert section of the western lands. Travelers often come for aid  in the Sand Drifter's village. There is shade from the heat, water to quench your thirst, and food to fill one's belly.

That is...if you can get there.

The sand drifters are surrounded by a barrier, a wall of light to keep out the other hostile tribes of the desert. Most often that is...the Pig Riders of Ruin! Using ancient machines these part men and part pig desert warriors always circle the Sand Drifter village. Trying to probe for weakness in the defense.

Many try to get to the barrier, as small portals can be opened in it by the Sand Drifters inside. That is...if you can make it to the barrier.

You have all be travelling separately for days now. Your water is low, and your strength ebbs. You need to get to the village. However, each of you has been chased by a separate gang of Pig Riders. Finally, after much chasing, you literally run into each other after running about a maze of sand dunes. Even as each of you face the stranger on foot-the howls and oinks of the pig men behind each person leaves no doubt who the real enemy is...

(OOC-Ok! For a starting post, I want a introduction as you come across the other PCs while being chased by Pig men into a circle-where each PC is looking at each other, while also realizing there is a pig men on motorcycles behind them.)

Pig Riders of Ruin

Elric could feel the acid burning in every muscle.  His clothes were far more tattered than he'd planned.  His cloak, that vaguely attempted to protect his alabaster skin from the sun's sizzling rays, was a patchwork of rips and holes.  This was it.  He knew that rounding this final dune was going to be his end.  Then he saw the others...

Fight or Flight?  That was the only thought he could muster.  But the roars from the other directions snapped him out of his immediate fears.  These others were no better off than he.  Just look at them.  Maybe this was boon and not bane after all.  He would have said something but he didn't have the words.  All he could do was point over his shoulder as if to say, Yup! Me Too!

Then he took quick stock of the situation and looked to the others to see how they would react...

Pig Riders of Ruin

Katarina arrived at an impasse: she knew these pig-men would keep chasing her, but honestly she wasn't sure they could keep up. She'd spent her whole life in the badlands, and although her water supplies were getting low, she'd done with less in the past.

Still, she couldn't fight off 5 of them by herself. She knew she would be in serious trouble if they actually caught up to her. One of them makes a mistake, four were still chasing. She makes a mistake?

She swallowed deeply at the thought. It wasn't pleasant.

Suddenly, she pulled up short as she saw an extremely pale man with tattered clothes in from of her, and she slowed her sprint, bouncing comfortably on her toes...

"Well hi!" she said brightly, waving her smaller hands 'hello' at him, her bright white teeth open in a smile as if she didn't have a care in the world, "You..." she saw him waving over his shoulder and nodded, "Ahh yea, they're annoying. Me too. You got any ideas?" she asked hopefully, her eyes bright with excitement.
