In the Cards is a Tarot based RPG.  In this game, a set of cards will be tied to a character, some for the life of the character, and others temporarily as resources that can be used.  I will be using a Rider-Waite based deck primarily: The Steampunk Tarot by John and Caitlin Matthews.  There is at least one another Steampunk Tarot out there that appears more frequently in searches but it does not use the same terminology as the one I will be using.  You do not need that to play or understand, just that it is my starting point.

Briefly, playing the game will be a combination of free-form writing, choosing portions of a spread of cards, and reacting/contributing to the interpretation of the choices.  I've tried to stray from some traditional concepts of fighter, wizard, thief, etc, though you the player may find yourself using those concepts when developing the character.
