Request to Join and Character Creation

Your character is a member of a small mercenary company. Formerly you worked for the Empire doing covert operations. You left their employ to form this company, and now work for any client who can pay.

Careers and Specializations from Edge of the Empire and related supplements only. Races/Species from any book.

1.)  A statement that you have read the RTJ & Character Creation, and at least skimmed the Rules & Party Resources.

2.) Tell me what character, if any, you want to emulate in Star Wars or Metal Gear. It's okay if you only want to emulate part of one, such as being a backcountry farm boy who's a crack pilot but has no special powers, or a rough-and-tumble outlaw who isn't a smuggler. You will be playing a mercenary.

3.) Tell me what Obligation you intend to take. Give me some idea of how that obligation arose. It's okay if you want to leave some of these details open for future development.

4.) Physical description of your character, including possibly what sort of clothes they wear.

5.) DO NOT tell me what career or specialization you intend to take. Give me an idea of what role you intend to fill on the team.

6.) Tell me what species you want to be.

7.) Tell me what your Metal Gear-style code name you want to have. No mercenary uses their real name. Generally it goes (adjective) (animal).

Bios and Character Tags

Your character tag will be created early on. It will be visible in The Cast. Generally it will describe your character in broad terms. The idea is that everyone will be quickly reminded of the role you play in the party.

Han Solo might be 'Human Smuggler,' 'Corellian Pilot,' or what-have-you.

Sometimes the tag might change.

At first, Luke Skywalker might have been 'Tatooinian Farm-boy' or 'Human Rebel.' Later he changed to "Human Jedi Knight."

Your 1st Character Bio line will be written like this:

MDef 0 RDef 0

This will represent the characters' Melee Defence and Ranged Defence, respectively. That way I can tell at a glance what your ordinary levels of defence are. This allows me to make attacks on your characters correctly without consulting your sheet every time.

The 2nd Bio will be written like this:

W 0/10 S 0/10

This represents your Wounds (W) and your Strain (S). Obviously most characters won't have thresholds of 10 for both Wounds and Strain, so that will change based on your character.
You will update these two values as we go on in the game.
