TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes

The dome of stars curves over an ankle-deep lake of calm water; a green-blue moon hovers distantly overhead, and beyond it, the great bulk of a planet, and beyond that, the baleful eye of a red sun.

An island of black sand stands a centimeter above the oh-so-gentle waves, artificial in its perfect circular shape.

A frail doll in a soot-stained, flame-singed dress tends a single yellow-bright Ember. Around her, at equidistant points of a nigh-invisible hendecagram, the Children of the Lost House appeared from folding shadows as they stepped out into the Void on their journey to the bright-moon. They were simultaneously here, yet also elsewhere . .

[All players appear here after exiting the house. You are also present within the Timeless Void.]

Eyes widen all kitten like and bounces over wincing in pain only a little as it makes it's way over to the doll like figure. It looked up hopefully.

"Eri ?  I have your flame, I have your shadow." He purred feeling comforted to see her again it had to be her right ?

TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes

The [Lunarian] appeared here suddenly, hugging [Grimalkin] a moment before letting go in a moment that synchronized what was going on in the real physical world rather than this thought-space. It was really freaking weird, but yet he wasn't having any  issue at all perceiving both this space and the outside void world.

"This is...strange. I can sense the realness of this place, but yet I know its more mental in nature. And the doll is here too. Did the doll disappear from outside and come here or is it still floating around in the void?" Starling asked aloud to anyone who could answer.

"Firecat? I don't know if she's fully dead or not. But her doll is somehow anchoring this space for us I suspect. I wonder if the properties of the doll and its binding runes have changed? Let me take a look." he asked as he attempted to analyze the doll and the ember it tended.

Starling is using [Appraise] combined with [Rune Decryption] and [Illuminatio] is possible to try and assess the doll, its runes, and the ember. As well as the thought-space in general.

"Please let me know if I can help, if I have to bleed to bring her back I will."
Looked on at Eri with concern.

Doll : Spirit : Bound : This one bell ring : Return restless dead

[Scapegoat] seemed to offer to those gathered, speaking up in Dhelevanian in his unusual cryptic manner once again. Whether the offer of utilizing his bell to restore the spirit of the effigy would be successful or not was unclear, but he seemed to be offering the prospect at least.

"Please, ring the bell then." [Grimalkin] Touched the [Scapegoat]
's shadow.

He looked on and his ear swiveled to listen for the bell.

TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes

Haloise sends a testing line - a sudden, jarring tone that sounds like a computer speaking for a single word, followed by a low, middling female voice.

[ANANLYSIS: Quantum repositioning achieved - my concept is successfully in two places at once. Testing, testing, can you guys hear me?]

"Hello, yes ? We can hear you." He pads around to find where the voice is coming from confused.

TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes

The [Liese Schwertgeist] conveys a tilt of it's head.

[UNSURPRISED: I'm Haloise. I'm the spirit inside the weapon of Euphoria - uh, the {Unblooded Shage}.] It pauses for a moment, before it's attention turns to something else. [EXPLANATION: I have no body to speak of, like you guys - I can only move conceptually, see? Between weapons and such. Here, though, my ability to communicate mentally expands to all of you. Does this have something to do with our connection as players, I wonder?]

TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes

"Oh, it is nice to meet you." Grim does a bit of a cat curtsy.

"I am glad you can talk, I know I am sad when I can't talk unless I touch peoples shadows. It must be frustrating. Glad to have you with us." He looked to [Unblooded Shage]. For her weapon.

Padding back to Eri's doll or perhaps a different doll at this location.

"This place it seems like we can all talk."

TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes

In the void, the Unblooded Shage tried to put herself in her happy place. She thought of nice, solid things like hiking through the marshy forest and jogging past the Aquarium every day. The things she used to do when she was anxious. When she opened her eyes, she found herself standing in a lake, as though the forest had come to life around her. Accept there was no forest.

She let out a "Huh? Wha-?" of surprise, and got herself in such a tizzy she fell over in the water. She just sat there for a minute, trying to make sense of it all, but existing in two places at once was impossible, right? Hell, she sometimes struggled to be present in one reality. The water was very calming, though. She looked around for the others, still sitting in the water, dumbstruck.

The first thing she noted was Haloise's voice, loud and clear. Euphoria wondered if it was in her head, but then she could hear the chatter of everyone else coming slowly into view. This was also the first time that she could hear Grimalkin speak.

"She may be stuck inside the weapon, but don't misconstrue," Euphoria said. "Haloise doesn't belong to anyone. She's her own independent weapon. Just trapped in a prison for a body. Womanhood, am I right?" It was a joke, sort of. Were they all on joking terms yet? "Anyways, Euphoria is fine. Way less of a mouthful than Unblooded Shage. What about you? You've got a name or are you rocking that Grimalkin life?" she asked the cat.

Euphoria picked herself up and noted Scapegoat and Starling gathered around a doll that also appeared in the space. "Who's that? Another player?" she asked. She had not gone into the attic, so she didn't know who Eri was.

"Hello [Euphoria], I think I am going to go with Grim for a nickname, since it is less of a mouthful too."

He then looked to [Scapegoat and Eri]
"Oh the goat I believe is one of us, and the other is Eri, the goddess that." He got a bit choked up, "Well she sacrificed herself to make the Ghost Eater weak enough for us to destroy. I am pretty sure she is why we are here in this place. I hope we can bring her back."

[ACQUIESCENCE: You can own me as much as you want, Euphie.] Haloise shoots back. Huh, turns about being a sword removes all your shame. Neat.

Re: TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes

[Scapegoat] seemed to acknowledge [Grimalkin]'s request, moving a bit and letting the bell on his neck ring once in an attempt to help utilize its powers to draw the spirit of Eri back as requested.

He did add, as he did this, in response to the other comment.

Re: TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes

As the bell about the Scapegoat's neck rings, there is a thud and a clattering of bones nearby as the Old Bones is deposited noisily into the black sand. "Owwwwowowowowow," the skeleton cries out in a passable Luigi impression, if Luigi were a cute grouchy Asian girl.

The Old Bones -- Ken now, apparently -- picks up her skull in her hands and turns it around to survey the surroundings rather than exerting the effort to stand. Finding nothing immediately demanding her attention she lets the skull drop back onto her ribcage with a *clack*.

"You know how when you dream," Ken starts, "you have this feeling of being aware of what is happening in other parts of your dream, but your brain only knows how to see one thing at a time, so you have to switch your viewpoint like you're the director of the most agonizingly uninteresting slice of life anime ever made?" She waits for answers. "I'm kind of feeling that way right now and I hate it. Am I in two places?"

"This is like that one time I took Salvia. I was in two places at once then, too." Josh sat on his rat-haunches and crossed his arms. "I'll say to this what I said afterward, back then: 'No sir, I don't like it.'" He said to no one in particular, quoting an ancient episode of Ren and Stimpy.

"Even kitty and the goat and rat."

Starling is using still using [Appraise] combined with [Rune Decryption] and [Illuminatio] is possible to try and assess the doll, its runes, and the ember. As well as the thought-space in general.

[Grimalkin]'s eyes focused on the ember. Examining it with [Curiosity].
Eyes shimering reflecting the embers light.
