TIMELESS: The Valley of Echoes
In the void, the Unblooded Shage tried to put herself in her happy place. She thought of nice, solid things like hiking through the marshy forest and jogging past the Aquarium every day. The things she used to do when she was anxious. When she opened her eyes, she found herself standing in a lake, as though the forest had come to life around her. Accept there was no forest.
She let out a "Huh? Wha-?" of surprise, and got herself in such a tizzy she fell over in the water. She just sat there for a minute, trying to make sense of it all, but existing in two places at once was impossible, right? Hell, she sometimes struggled to be present in one reality. The water was very calming, though. She looked around for the others, still sitting in the water, dumbstruck.
The first thing she noted was Haloise's voice, loud and clear. Euphoria wondered if it was in her head, but then she could hear the chatter of everyone else coming slowly into view. This was also the first time that she could hear Grimalkin speak.
"She may be stuck inside the weapon, but don't misconstrue," Euphoria said. "Haloise doesn't belong to anyone. She's her own independent weapon. Just trapped in a prison for a body. Womanhood, am I right?" It was a joke, sort of. Were they all on joking terms yet? "Anyways, Euphoria is fine. Way less of a mouthful than Unblooded Shage. What about you? You've got a name or are you rocking that Grimalkin life?" she asked the cat.
Euphoria picked herself up and noted Scapegoat and Starling gathered around a doll that also appeared in the space. "Who's that? Another player?" she asked. She had not gone into the attic, so she didn't know who Eri was.
